Arvest Bank Reviews

Alex J1Ms.Acosta here is a heartless bank manager that will make sure you pay every single overdraft fee you incur even when the bank is a week late charging them to you. Tellers tell you they should have some leeway because it was only 1 day late but Ms Acosta has no leeway for anyone. Must want to keep making her bonuses Making sure everyone pays absolutely every absurd overdraft fee. Heartless terrible banking customer service and I hope you get no helpfrom a manager when you need it.

Brenda Carter1Concidering arvest can't seem to put our money in the right account. No excuses accepted. Just fix it like it should have been. This issue has caused my husband to leave work TWICE to get it fixed. I do believe that the bank should compensate him for it in some form or fashion. That would be the right thing for Arvest to do.
Response from the ownerHi Brenda, we are very sorry to hear this and we understand your frustration. We would like to listen and learn more about your experience. Would you please send your contact number to [email protected] so that we can connect you with a member of local management?

Nate Fansler1I've driven to two different arvest locations that had closed lobbies. What is going on? Update your Google listings!!! It would be nice if this was accessible information or if you could directly call a branch rather than being on hold for a call center that doesn't have answers. How is my credit union so much more accessible than a private bank?
Response from the ownerWe're so sorry to hear this and apologize for any inconvenience, Nate. We value your feedback and will share it with our local management. Thank you so much for your review.

Victoria Smith1Arvest used to be one of the best banks but now it goes down very quickly. For the last 6 months we had a lot of problems with our account. One time on Friday night we went to eat out and our balance was 0.00. Of course it was after 8 and they were closed to explain why. Next morning money appeared and we were told that it was ,,system error,, this is ridiculous. Next day we deposited check and it took 4 days to clear. We don’t trust this bank anymore and of course I am not going to write a check to the irs with this bank because what if they are going to have ,, a system error again,, I am not risking. Concerning this location it takes about an hour sometimes to deposit check through drive thru because I’m the window you can see employees chatting with each other. Well, we are seeking for another trustworthy bank to open account at. And we don’t recommend to open an account here or you may have the same issues.
Response from the ownerHi Victoria, we’re sincerely sorry to hear about your recent experiences with Arvest. Customer service is our top priority, so we would like the opportunity to speak with you about each of these issues and see how we can make things right. Would you please send your contact information to [email protected] so that we can connect with you?

Bailey Jones1Arvest is quite possibly the worst run financial institution I’ve ever worked with. From fraudulent low balance fees, to erroneous inactive account charges to not having anyone to help with online account issues. Avoid at all costs. ALL COSTS.
Response from the ownerWe're very sorry to hear that you feel this way, Bailey. We'd like to connect you to a member of local management to discuss further. Will you please send us your name and contact phone number to [email protected]?

Donnie Ray Sharp1Cashier (with visible tattoos) made a $500 "error" at my expense. Good thing I was paying attention and checked the receipt... because it certainly wasn't any concern for him. Took him and the bank manager several minutes to correct the "mistake", during which I was told I needed to have a "nicer tone" or else the bank manager would "call the authorities". In hindsight, this was probably to keep ME from calling the authorities. At no point did either of them actually apologize for the "error", the money they had attempted to steal from me, or all the time that would have been wasted if it had been caught later (or the small amount of time it took when their "mistake" was caught immediately)... not once did they express regret or contrition... and I should be nicer about the whole thing... The bank manager was straight up ghetto-looking... he and the tattooed cashier likely make several "mistakes" a day and split the proceeds at the end of the shift. What a shameful, disgraceful excuse for a bank branch. I was there to deposit into someone else's account... I shared with her my experience at her chosen bank. I do not currently have, nor will I ever again have, an account with this P.o.S. bank.

Roo Poo1Opened an account and can't get to my money or get to online banking because guy put my social security number in wrong and they use that as password and verification. Had to take off work to open it and now have to wait for Monday and take off work again to fix their mistake bc they verify everything with social security number over the phone and since the guy put my number in wrong..... worst bank ever. Would give 0 stars if i could.
