Have worked with them multiple times for auto loans, and other items. The bankers are always so sweet, kind, and take care of everything! 10/5 stars!

Can never get someone on the phone. Refinanced my auto loan through them last month, all I needed to do was contact someone to set up automatic payments because the app won’t allow me to do it. Called three times in one day and got nothing. Took my business elsewhere

10-08-2021 there's just so many things wrong with this Bank you wait for hours upon hours to talk to a representative every single time my husband has called he always has to wait to get a call back and they call whenever they feel like it how absolutely irritating considering he work night shift and would very much appreciate somebody actually answering the phone when he calls second he paid off his car loan through you guys and it's been months and he still has not received his title why he just keep getting the runaround about it and we've talked to everybody including the managers

      Response from the owner

I was with this bank for almost 3 years and within that time there were 5 bank errors, including one ATM deposit that was not credited to my account, that caused fees to be incurred on my account. Sure, they would recognize their error and reverse the fees, but not until I would go into the bank and complain. Their app sucks too. I’m sorry, I gave you plenty of opportunities to retain my business. There is no indication that these errors will stop occurring. No 6th chance for you.

      Response from the owner

Lizette, we’re sorry you experienced this frustration. We would appreciate the opportunity to learn what happened to potentially earn your business back and learn what we need to improve.  Please call our Member Retention Officer at 602-523-8262 or e-mail [email protected].

When AZ businesses started to close due to the COVID19 pandemic, there was some concern that my husband was going to be out of work. I called AZ central to see what the options are for Skip Payments. I was advised I could complete one, then got a call back stating they had revoked it. Then, in order to grant the Skip, they wanted an in detail breakdown of my exact hardship because “they don’t want people to take advantage of them and their Skip Pay program”. Going through my inbox, these are just some of the offers from other companies. You know what I got from AZ Central? A condescending email about managing my savings account. Credit Union West - 3 Skip Payments, and they just renewed their Skips for ANOTHER 3, no questions asked. Hardship loans available as well. USAA - Payment deferments and waived late fees Wells Fargo - Payment deferments and hardship loans Chase - payment deferments and hardship loans Credit First - payment deferments and hardship loans I sincerely regret financing my loan with this company.

I was looking for a home mortgage and typically the major banks (Chase, Wells, etc.) will have higher interest rates than credit unions, including this one. My experience AFTER the house purchase has been terrible. I have had my mortgage for 4.5 years. In this time, I have received 2-3 letters stating I have not paid my mortgage even though I have been on automatic payment since the start. In addition, every year my 1099 tax form is wrong. They leave blanks in the form that is required so I have to complete the property tax section myself. This April (2014) I received a letter stating my house insurance has expired it took me 4 phone calls, 3 emails and 7 weeks from the time I received the letter to get this resolved. --------Update-------------------------- 12/27/18 I tried to pay off my loan balance, but they cannot handle payments over $5k? They required a wire. How does a bank nowadays not equipped to receive $5k via web or over the phone? So I paid $30 to wire it, then they charged me $10 to receive the wire? I was going to ask for $30 to be reimbursement, but this place isn't even worth my time. 9 years later I am finally off the hook of having to deal with this institution. Free at last.

If I could give this bank 0 stars I would. I had a tragedy in the family and some associated unexpected costs. To try to make sure my family got bills covered I opted to utilize a "skip a payment" feature this bank offers once a year. One of the conditions is it must be submitted no later than 10 business days after your due date. So I go to the bank and because a recent payment has not yet posted they say I could not do it for the month of December and I'd have to do it for January. They couldn't say when the payment would post (because its my bank that didn't release the funds) but rather than saying that the 10 day expires on the 12th (my due date is the 29th) and if the payment posts on time id be able to come back and process the skip a payment, im told I can't do it at all for that December. So when I attempt to clarify the dates and day that I have until the 13th, a lady DENISE ( no last name, you'll see why later) responds with "if you made this payment on time you wouldn't have this problem" the sheer lack of professionalism floored me, so obviously since this individual is complacent and comfortable enough to say that to a customer, I requested her supervisor. I got a guy who says his name is Mike Tillen, he refused to provide any more info about Denise when I told him I'd like to file a complaint. And it gets better, he says "what is it, im not dealing with "this" so what you want or I'll terminate the call" even though I said I wanted to file a complaint...so I ask the address of his location and he says the 2020 n central road so that way I can come down there so he can't "terminate" me in person. I thought better of it, and who knows how this could escalate further especially considering their customer service and management lacks basic customer service skills. So this is the customer service that can be expected from these two individuals. I will be filing complaints with the BBB if their accredited by them as well as the attorney general. I don't expect nothing to happen but it will be documented and hopefully that's enough that someone else don't have to be treated that way.

There is not a way to access their fee schedules and how the fee's are accumulated on their website. when calling the call center to find out about the fees, prepare to be hung up on. 5 out of 6 phone calls we would just get into the issue, and they wouldn't have an answer so they would just hang up.

      Response from the owner

From our website, azcentralcu.org, in the search field, type Fee Schedule and it will take you to the page with both the Consumer and Business Fee Schedules. Simply click on the one that applies to you. As far as calls being disconnected, please e-mail [email protected] and provide our Associate’s name(s). We record all outside phone conversations and we will address this issue with the individual team members immediately. We hate fees too! We’d be happy to discuss how YOU can avoid being assessed fees. Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate your business.

The service here is excellent. I started a new account at this location and my account representative (Justin) was very professional and set up my account in a timely manner. If you're looking for a bank with excellent customer service this is the place to go to!
