  Antoinette is a master of her craft. She guided me thru a VERY DETAILED process and followed thru on the process with no confusion. I appreciate the temporary cash advance I needed due to an extremely high auto repair bill I had to pay this week.   I went to the amstar on Bee Ridge road in Sarasota Florida. I requested money orders and the cashier Internet repeatedly asked me what the money orders were for, if I had any documents to support why I was sending this money,I went to the amstar on Bee Ridge road in Sarasota Florida. I requested money orders and the cashier Antoinette repeatedly asked me what the money orders were for, if I had any documents to support why I was sending this money, and if I would be sending more money orders and what balance if any I would still need to send to them. Totally violated my privacy making me look like I was a criminal when I work hard for my money! I will make sure to get a lawyer now because they violated my civil rights and did this all in front of other customers! Do not go to Amscot! I will be sure to make this even more public with the BBB and the Media.

  If i could give this place 0 stars i would.. the 2 heavy girls working here would not allow us to get a money order.. her excuse i just cant do it.. yes it was close to 9 but i came in before 9.. and all it was was a money order for my brother who happens to not have a social so i was gonna get it.. will because we looked for an alternative and called corporate and corprate said we could, she just said no cant do it and won't do it.. this is not customer service.. horrible.. called another store and said no problem come and we can do it.. 🤷‍♀️

  AWFUL!! DON'T GO HERE!! My fiance went there to cash a check my brother had freshly written for us and they denied cashing the check because they wanted BANK STATEMENTS and other private things to cash the check! What's the point then? I'd go to the bank then! When I called the store, they told me to call corporate and when I did, the woman I spoke to YELLED over my questions and then lied about being a supervisor! The woman was a total psycho. I've never had that particular problem and over the years, I've cashed more then 50 checks there. I've had other problems but that was the worst. That woman should be fired!

  Maybe you should hire people that know how to do their job. And when someone is helping customer you dont just walk away and help someone else. I'll never come here. If you are thinking about it dont waste your time. They cant even verify accounts. Been employed to the same company for 8 years with the same bank's with direct deposit and they cant figure out to match and verify. My entire Christmas is now ruined.

  Always taking care of my bill paying needs. Never a serious problem at any Amscott. Sometimes the employees are like robots. I have bad teeth on the bottom row. Some of them. Enough to find the tootsie rolls offered as an insult. But it's the thought that counts. I have taken a handful of pens from the Amscotts. Over a span of 10 years or so. And they never ask for them back. Lol A good place to hide Poke'mon. Maybe. I don't know. But they will take care of all your money needs. Scott is the other good paper people. These are the people for your paper. get it?

  This place is very slow Not customer friendly Teller does not bother saying Hello? Or anything The worse they would not cash my check after having me wait for 20 mins I am business owner and write checks to myself and signed and everything The teller goes like U can’t write a check to yourself Someone else has to sign it? Duh ? I am the owner I had the whole freaking check book & a Business debit card with me Ok then I wanted to use my debit card and make a money order to myself To which he denied and told me to come up with a cash And pointed to their atm... If I use my business debit card and withdraw money it may look like for personal use Anyway this place is slow And if they don’t cash the checks they should tell customers the long before and not having wait forever Never going back to that location 👎👎👎

  This place is straight trash. When I called to extend a loan 2 days because of a family emergency the “supervisor” old creepy guy I don’t even know his name but apparently he’s a “supervisor” there said politely okay I’ll put a note on the account that you’ll be in on Thursday and so my husband said okay so I check I gave you won’t be cashed correct? And he goes oh yeah it probably will be so he decietfully lied and tried to make it seem like everything was okay after I told him there was no money in that account And we would be in on Thursday because he couldn’t phisiclly get into the store before then! Then the “supervisor” proceeded to yell like a manic obviously embarrassed that I called him out on a straight lie! This place is complete trash as well as the people who work there will lie straight to your face. Horrible customer service I would recommend taking a drive to the one on state road 70, at least you won’t be dealing with liars and you’ll leave with a smile!

  I have taken my Mother to this Amscot location a couple times to cash checks and a cash advance. The service was fast and the employees were very polite. The fees are fare and the free candy is cool. A+

  I came here one day to take out a cash advance and I stood there for OVER AN HOUR. Other people were being taken care of and leaving before me, and I got there before them! Ridiculous customer service by some female workers.
