  This location is my go to whatever I need to have documents notarized. Tim and his team do a great job. I always feel welcomed and well served. 1-15-20 I've had to go three times to this wonderful store to get things notarized. The staff is so helpful. Tim took care of me in the professional manner that he always does. 2-18-20 This time the store was really special. As I stood at the window and waited for my turn, all of the staff were helping people who had unusual problems. As I watched, all of them left very happy with the service that the team provided for them. When my time came, the document that I needed to have notarized was promptly handled so efficiently. Why would I go anywhere else?

  Went in to have a paper notarized, lady was very polite but said that she would have to check with the notarized person to see if could be done. This gentle men called someone at corporate and came back to me and said he could not notarize my document. While I was there he also had to turn down another gentlemen trying to get the same thing done. Bottom line is Amscot is out of the Notarization business.

  I unexpectedly needed a cash advance and the Amscot reps I worked with from start to finish were extremely helpful and pleasant. They made the process easy, and followed-up with a phone call reminder on payback day so that I would not incur late fees. The service at this location is excellent, and I highly recommend.

  Best Amscot ever. I went to another Amscot to notarize a document in Spanish and they never understood how to help me, even she talked Spanish. In this Amscot the majority of the employees are bilingual, but today they did not have any. Timothy was happy to help me and he understood what he need to fill out in the document. I am very pleased.

  Amscot you have got to do better! Number 1 the customers always right. I don’t like the way i was spoken to from the blue wearing attendant. She had long black hair and black headband on. Very rude!

  Horrible service. Like high school, they act like they're a clique of popular girls, you can tell that outside of work they have no lives. They get entertainment from playing with your money. Ask you 1000 questions only to judge you and deny your transaction. Use MONEY GRAM. Save yourself the trouble. If you are more attractive or have a better body (I'm both) they will have a terrible attitude. It's really sad, I got my money through another source. Maleka the butch lesbian with glasses is the worst, she looks like an owl avoid her. I think they get jealous that they're sitting behind a glass while people are getting money. They need training or new staff who can PROFESSIONALLY do their job. I was there 2 hours because they were laughing and making jokes after falsely flagging my transactions as fraud. Never had this problem, avoid this location if it's an emergency. My aunt has cancer, I work out of town but haven't gone because I'm staying close in case something happens during chemo, friends from out of town sent me money for bills since I haven't been working, simple!!!!

  Went to another Amscot earlier today I was in and out no problem to get a $10 money order found out that I needed two $5 money orders instead so I came to this Amscot since it was closer to where I was. the lady at the counter barely could understand English and told me that it would cost 1.5% so I said no problem I went and grab some change out of my car and then 25 minutes later after watching her serve everyone else around me when I was first in line says I can give you back $7. I reminded her that she said it would only be 1.5% of $10 to cash and replace my money order for two she stared me in the face and rudely repeated so I will give you $7 back and that's all I can do. I don't know if it was our first day or what was going on but I had to leave there $3 short of what I had to pay for it didn't have any cash on me so now I have to spend more of my time going to get cash and then go do it all over again. By far the worst experience I have ever had at any type of money store I would never recommend going here to anyone.

  Always an excellent experience except when I have had a woman named Elizabeth do my money orders. She answered the phone while serving me (in the middle of me asking her questions) and then started helping another guest right after hanging up so that I was left waiting to finish my order. I gave up on trying and asked for some tootsie rolls for my kids instead and she gave me ONE. I then said to her that she has to be the only rude person I have ever dealt with at that establishment and she proceeded to throw a handful of candy out the slot as if that was my complaint. I walked out without candy that day. This employee recognized me the next time I went in a week later and skipped me in line by helping other guests first. I was floored by her absolute lack of customer service and personal vendettas. I now make sure not to go to her window when I go in.

  Worst amscot location I’ve ever been to. Wanted cash a 30$ check from utility account after I closed it being they charge you prorated. Went in gave my license matches name on check verified my phone number address for them. They wouldn’t cash my check had me wait over 20 minutes they were trying to verify a 30$ check asking me a million questions why did you receive this check why haven’t you cashed it. I’ve never been Interragetaed like this before cashing a simple check. I called ouc so they can tell the teller check was good after she verifified my account with me and they refused to talk to the ouc employee!!!! I felt stereotyped because I have two full sleeve tattoos I must be making 30$ checks at home like I’m def making fraud checks out never again do I go to amscot I’ll take it to my bank and wait a few days for it to clear.

  My husband needed cash for a Craig's List transaction he was doing while in the Sanford area (no PNC banks in that area!!!). Gave Christine the debit card from which to draw the funds, she said it would not swipe and she could not enter it manually. She then lingered for approx. ten minutes doing other customers' business before handing the card back and delivering the 'won't swipe' news. He had a hard time believing that was the case. So he headed to nearby PNC ATM, card swiped just fine. Needless to say he had to draw the cash from several PNC cards to consummate the transaction, and Amscot lost out on revenue potential. Will try to avoid Amscot based on this experience.....
