Bobby Welch5Amber my representative was very thorough understanding and helpful. I am still very concerned about my liability for the money created by the compromise on my previous account. I'm also finding that when I call to check on my new account my PIN number doesn't seem to be working or being accepted which maybe there's a reason for that I will keep trying. Morgan Powell1THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I could tell a million stories of how this bank has left me stranded in multiple countries as a solo female traveler without access to my cash. (Dangerous) But I will start with my most recent terrible experience. I was just in Mexico and followed their instructions on a travel notification. I did it on the app and also via a long terrible phone call. My card still wouldn’t work at an ATM and they cut off access to my online banking for trying to sign in from Mexico. I called them back and it was impossible to get a person on the line. (Over an hour) When I finally did I expressed my issue and they claimed I never called them and they assured me my card would work next time. It did not. This process happened 5 or 6 times in my one week stay in Mexico. I spent my vacation on the phone with my bank. They won’t let you access online banking when you are in a foreign country and then want you to guess the exact amount of your last transactions before they will talk to you on the phone. With no online access and no phone customer service access how can I monitor my funds while traveling? After I got back into town I have tried to call the local branch and after an hour, I still could not get a person within my local branch on the phone. They assured me they would have someone call me back as soon as possible (at the latest two business days they said) and nobody ever did. I highly urge everyone to avoid this bank at all costs. If you bank with them you will have zero customer service. I have never experienced anything like it. My dad is a long time business customer with them and he was appalled at the customer service he witnessed one of the days he happened to be around when I was calling them during normal business hours. Do not bank here.

eric walters1Banked with them throughout the years and have had numerous problems with holding pay, extra fees and numerous overdraft fees on my accounts. I finally switched banks and feel relieved. Good bank to cash a check but horrible to do anything deeper. Customer service is also rude whenever I have to call. My advice would be to use a bigger and more respected credit union.

Michael Kypriss1The credit card servicing company Elan which Ameris Bank uses is the worst I have ever encountered.The online payment is horrible.I have tried 7 months in a row to pay online and have changed my password 6 consecutive months .I am going to pull my business account out of there as well as pay off my credit cards and move on to another bank thank you Michael Kypriss
