Teresa Robbins2Normally we use this branch because customer service is always superior to any other Amegy bank in the area. Today, we unfortunately encountered two rude employees. We needed to complete a couple different transactions - exchange some smaller bills for larger ones, get a cashiers check and deposit a check. The first employee greeted us when we arrived in a flat, monotone voice. Even though her words were polite - it felt insincere. We explained what we needed done and she told us we needed to count the cash ourselves before she would put it through their counting machine. I started counting the money and she said don’t put the bills like that (I was pilling them in a way that if I lost count I could easily recount) because they’ll need to go into the machine straight. I didn’t understand why she couldn’t just count it for us using the machine. Seems inefficient. When she finished depositing our check, she held her hand out without saying a word and gestured she wanted the cash from us. Which I thought was rude. Also, there were customers at the drive thru window, the teller stopped helping us multiple times to go help them and eventually asked another employee to help us with the cashiers check. This employee showed us the cashiers check and asked us to make sure everything was correct. We checked the amount and to whom the check was made out to; “LLC” had been left off. My husband asked if that needed to be on the cashiers check. The teller said You’ll have to call them and ask. My husband said they are probably closed and the teller shrugged her shoulders as if saying “not my problem.” So I said I wrote LLC on the form. She said I can re-do it? We said yes because we are closing on our house and don’t want any snags or issues (but honestly: doesn’t matter what the check is for; We want it done correctly and you asked US to confirm it was correct and it wasn’t so please fix it!) While walking away she sighed loudly as if we were annoying her. Both my husband and I remained polite through out but it was definitely difficult.

Justin Pannell1Horrible customer service. Slowest drive thru. Disrespectful staff. They can never provide you with an answer over the phone and ALWAYS say they will call you back, but NEVER do. This is by far the worst Amegy Bank branch in existence, and they should be embarrassed.

They've helped me get accounts set up for personal and business use and even made a run at beating my current loan with BOA, but it didn't make sense to switch. They got my merchant services, personal and business checking and credit accounts.

Josh Griffin1Went to get new debit card because the old one wasn’t working. The teller told me she canceled the card and the new one ordered would arrive in 7-10 days. Today was the 10th day without a card. Called customer service and they told me there were no transaction done to cancel and order a new card. I get to wait 10 more days. Hire competent people!!!

LaTwon Amour1I’m closing my account with this bank. I’ve been So disrespected by this bank every time I’ve come in since opening my account. The woman who opened my account lies and doesn’t do what she should as a banker Example, you misspelled my mother’s maiden name and you have the nerve to ask me if I know it? It my own flesh and blood. For respect you haven’t earned I won’t post names my mother taught me better manners. Just admit you heard me wrong or apologize. Or how about I withdraw a $1000 and you slide it to me across the counter. What happen to offering a envelope? It’s $1000 not $1. Just the lack of customer care pisses me off. So there are more banks in Texas than this one.

Karen Griffin1Just left the sugarlSug 77479 branch and Asian female in commercial offered to assist me since regular teller was busy. I kind of wished now that i'd waited. I had for checks written from businesses Amegy account and the representative stated almost immediately that id have to pay $8.00 cash fee per check !! Well i initally thanked her for telling me this because that's half of each check, then and then only did she ask the amoybts ofothe checks, which iiresponded were $16. Each. Then she said " oh if theyret under $100 dollars then it's no fee !!!! #problem 1) you ask for amount of checks before trying to not work which is what I felt. You don't give out random information because situation are different and not a ' one size fits all. Also, iihad ea check that she didnt cash and i said ok, ill just deposit it as the company informed me to do when i picked up these checks. The bank representative proceeded to tell me if my nane was nit on my mothers account then iicouI cou make a deposit huge mistake #2) you can always make deposits to accounts my God whosw teaching this lady ?!!! She missed a teachable moment in not inquiring of her supervisor. At 57 years young I at least know I can deposit into accounts, just not make withdrawals, which I do to my landlord bank account for my rent all the time. I make deposits to another of my mom's credit Union account. If I borrow, for example from said people I do not need my name on their accounts to repay them in depositing said monies !! Final mistake she probably intentionally made was no receipt of my transaction was provided. I ALWAYS receive receipt because whosw to say I even made these transactions ??. Sad, disappointing day. She is causing me more time, money and gas to go to another bank to make a deposit. Sugarland 77479 you got to do better !!! a

Noe Cars1Horrible! My employer banks with them so I go in to try to cash my check and they wouldn’t cash it! I always go to a different location to cash it but, I was close by to this one so I decided to Stop. They said they had to verify if it’s more than a certain amount, I respect that. But, i ALWAYS cash them out at the other location and they can see that!! Horrible customer service! I’m going to hurry up and get direct deposit so I don’t have to deal with them anymore!
