  Horrible experience at the bank this morning. Recently moved to the area and my first check from work was a physical check because my direct deposit didn’t go through yet. The check was issued by Truist bank so I went there to get it cashed. Apparently they can’t cash their own checks. I was told that they had to call and verify that their own check was real, which I had no problem with, but once they called they said the person who verifies checks stepped out, this was 5 min after they opened and the person already stepped out. This was the only person who can verify their checks, they have a lot of branch locations but apparently only one person that verifies their own bank checks. After I was told he would be back in 5 min I decided to wait, 15-20 min go by and I go back and ask what is going on and tell them that I need to be at work in 10 min. They told me that the person still wasn’t back and because I was not a customer there was nothing they could do. Now if I knew that having an account with them would have made this easier I would have opened an account. Not once did they ask me if I was happy with my current bank nor did they asked me if I wanted to open up an account with them. It’s a bank that doesn’t offer customers their services, can’t cash their own checks and has only one person to verify their own checks because apparently nobody at their location could verify their own bank check that was issued by them which I think is insane. I walked across the street to BoA who I do not have an account with but do have a credit card with and they cashed the check in less than 5 min for an $8 fee from the bank that wouldn’t cash their own banks check. I thought the whole experience was insane and that I had to rely on BoA to cash another banks check.

  Excellent Bank to work with. Very friendly and Mr Shahan Haider was extremely helpful and explained us. We are very happy with the bank great job.

  Sold a car to Gillman Nissan & went to the Sugar Land BB&T location on Friday to cash the $14k check. Was told they didn't have that much on hand & that i would need to order it & they would have it in on the following Wednesday. Are you kidding me? A bank doesn't have $14k on hand? What a joke. Shame on Gillman for writing checks off a bank that won't cash them. Shame on BB&T for calling themselves a bank.

  I walked into the bank and said to the lady I would like to open up a business account. She said well I'm not sure Let me ask and find out. Well she turned to the guy sitting next to her and said can she open up ABA account. The guy told me welll I don't know because I have a 10 o'clock appointment. It was currently 9 o'clock. Once we walked into his office He asked what type of business is this I said it is an LLC. I said what does that matter I have my EIN number from the government and I have my DBA. He said where is your original EIN. I said I have a copy of it I printed it off of the IRS. gov. website. He said you cannot open up an account unless you have the original EIN number. I said that is not true. The IRS allows you to print off the EIN number from their website. I said my EIN number matches my DBA as well is here is information from legal zone where everything was created. I told him this is not my 1st business where I open up a bank account. I see it I know what paperwork is need it and I have everything here with me. He said well no you have to have the original. I have never been in a bank where they were so rude. I politely got my paperwork put it back in my binder with the $6000 that I was going to deposit and I left. I will never enter their doors again.

  Each time a customer walks thru the doors of BB&T, Sweetwater Blvd branch, you will automatically hear a staff welcome you with such a warm voice. This is not something done randomly. They are very consistent with this! As a customer, each time I come in for a transaction, am made to feel at home. They are very nice and professional! They are always willing, ready and available to answer your questions and also resolve any concerns you may have. They provide exceptional quality customer service consistently. I recommend this bank and especially this branch to anyone that likes to be seen as a valuable customer and not just a number!!

  Very helpful, nice employees, quiet setting, clean lobby, and they offer fresh coffee all day long. Love it here and it is never too busy. The hours are perfect that I can come in if needed after work.

  Loc the customer service banking teller is awesome! He is genuine, friendly, outgoing, and very professional. I'm here every week taking care of the financial resources for my company. Loc is a great asset to your company, and I always look forward to seeing him; and know that our company is in good hands. What a professional gentleman!

  I had a very bad experience in this bank . My father asked me to go to this bank and open an account. My dad had to do a wire transfer to my brother in Australia but even after 2 weeks they were unable to do it , they never did follow up regarding this and when we called they said they were waiting for this and that and and never got an clear answer of what happened. I am so upset that my brother could not get his birthday gift my dad promised to him . I plan to withdraw both of our account from here

  One of the managers or whoever in the higher ups takes up an entire commercial lane just to charge his Tesla like?? Are you serious? How selfish can you be. 🙄

  I have been with bbt for so long and I will highly recommend you. I usually avoid giving reviews but I am glad, i am recommending something great. Manager shahan, Tammy, loc are the best part of bbt.
