FRAUD. STAY AWAY. It's a shame there's not an option for 0 Stars. These people allegedly stated that they would do a "Loan Consolidation" for "Loan Forgiveness" - ALL A Lie. They Stole $149.88 from my CC - luckily, I canceled it out and they couldn't get any more money. One of their people tried contacting my loan servicer pretnding to be me attempting to access information on my account. Call your loan servicer - they will tell you that EVERYTHING these people are charging for is done for Free. Once again, STAY AWAY.

Fake company. They are scammer don’t give them any info. They make you think they are working for federal government student loan servicing. Always check the Better Business Bureau and if you have to pay to get help with student loans then it is fake. You can get help for free from your loan provider.

Complete fraud. They called me stating that I qualified for "recent stimulus forgiveness legislation." The representative asked me for my email while distracting me and started firing off questions. She said they sent a code to my email to read off which was from Dept of Ed. What she was actually doing was logging onto my Federal Student Aid account and resetting my password. She then proceeded to tell me all of my loan amounts. At this point she has me believing she works for the Fed government with how slick she is and is going over the different refinance options I qualify for. What this company does is collects a fee for the first few months for "preparing documents" for loan forgiveness and income based repayment plans etc. which are all Federal programs. This company has ZERO affiliation with the Dept of Ed and Federal Govt but will have you believing that they do. ALL of these documents for the Dept of Ed can be found on the website of your federal loan provider and can 110% be done on your own in 5 minutes instead of paying the $250/month for 6 months for their "services." Call your Federal loan provider for ALL repayment options. When I called back to cancel and mentioned contacting the Federal Trade Commission and Attorney General's office, the man on the phone was rude and told me to "take a breathe" before doing anything else. AVOID this company at all costs.

This is a completely fraudulent company. Do not do business with them. They will take advantage of you. After relentless calls (mind you, I was only 3 months postpartum) they pressured me into singing and agreement. I told them I would look over the contract and James told me that he would stay on the call as long as he needed. They continued to pressure me. I felt they took complete advantage of me knowing what kind of state I was in and now they won’t do anything to help.

Alum Financial is a fraudulent company! I was forgiven by the loan provider itself and now they do not want to refund my money. I emailed them a copy of my forgiveness letter, for them to call me and tell me they couldn’t work on my case because I was forgiven from the provider, but still took $150. If you couldn’t work on my case than why did you take out the money? I give this company -0 stars. I want my money back!

Please read! Do not mess with this company. They charge for processing paper work that you can do through the Department of Education for free with your loan service provider. There is a decent fee (over $200) for start up, and a monthly fee (around $30) for paper work that is not necessary that last a year. I am a hardworking citizen in the education field, on a limited budget, sick of being scammed of my money with no end in sight. Please take my advice! Don't mess with this company!

I don't typically write reviews, but when I was asked via email If I was satisfied with the outcome of my service I figured I would. I went through Alum Financial for assistance with consolidating my student loans and assisting me with entering in to the proper government program. They made the experience easy and affordable and have been extremely communicative along the way. This was something I had thought about looking in to for while but didn't understand the pros and cons and overall qualification requirements for my field (I'm a teacher) granted I knew there were several programs and additional benefits available, I wanted to make sure for certain I was maximizing what was available to me. I believe you can't put a price on professionalism and accuracy and they really came through for me.

My bank refused the withdrawal because they showed up on the fraud list . Now they are threatening legal action! Never made a payment but they state pay or we will come after you. Will not since no banks in my area will authorize any debit or AcH.

I wish I could give a substar rating. They do not even deserve one star!! This company is a fraud. They mislead and misinformed me on several occasions. They overcharged me and refuse to reimburse the overage. I cancelled my contract after months of attempting to work with the company on my loan forgiveness program and now they refuse to honor the contract which states I am entitled to a full refund. I have filled a complaint with the BBB. Do not work with or trust this company. You will regret it. I am.
