Aggieland Credit Union Reviews

Josh Tipton1This location has some of the nicest people. However, it also has some of the rudest. First, I was trying to withdraw 100 dollar, she gave me 1100 through the drive thru, I politely told her she gave me the wrong amount. She in response copped an attitude. Today it set me over the edge. I lost my card, I went into this location to get a new one. The lady was nice and told me I could wait in the lobby (it would take 10-15 minutes). Then I was sitting in the lobby, and this young girl comes out of nowhere and tells me I can’t be in here, I told her that I was getting helped, and she just kept on until I told her I was waiting on a card. Learn how to speak to people, say “sir have you been helped already?” Instead of “you can’t be in here” I damn well can be in here and she’s lucky I didn’t close my account.

J Davis4It was a great experience, it's a coop bank which is amazing. Being a person of color sometimes its hard, but my husband and I are patient and loving senior citizens. Myself use to be on a credit union board of directors understand well. Dealing with the public, you must loves people and have an understanding personality. Great people there.

Rebekah Nobles2This credit union has some of the weirdest policies. I have been banking with credit unions for several years and never experienced this. Their app is “down for maintenance” most of the time and there is always a delay on when it updates deposits and some expenses. They also have issues with the mobile deposit feature most of the time. My balance also changes frequently (for example, I was showing a $200 deficient that I couldn’t find … then a few hours later the balance changed back to what it should have been, but there were no changes in the credits or debits??). The most recent discovery I have found is they require you to fill out a deposit slip to cash a check? This one just floored me so I had to post. I do think we will be changing credit unions .. I just can’t continue with so many uncertainties…

re nee1I was going to change from Wells Fargo in Bryan,TX and open up an account but you have more negative reviews for the Bryan, TX location then Wells Fargo does so I do not want to deal with it. I’ll go to Capital One bank.

Justin Thomas1I have been a member of Aggieland Credit Union for 7 years. The branch on Southwest Parkway is great, as is the branch in south College Station. The bryan location is terrible. Extremely slow, won't do anything my normal branch will. Steer clear, and whoever manages the region needs to figure out the disconnect. This is not a new problem.
Response from the ownerHowdy Justin! We apologize that the experience didn’t meet your expectations. We would like to learn more about your experience so we can address your concerns. Please provide additional detail by visiting our Member Feedback Form at https://www.gtfcu.org/member-feedback

catherine vanbrunt5I love working with Aggieland in Bryan. They all have been very helpful for anything that I need done. They are all so friendly and caring, My husband and I have 6 different accounts, some for our personal and for our business, with them. We also get a good return on our interest. I love the connection with our savings program too. I highly recommend this bank to everyone for personal as well as business.

Randie Evans3Only got 3 stars because of the staff being so understanding. I've been banking here for 5 almost 6 years and this is the most frustrating bank by far, no after hour support after numerous complaints that that is an issue among other. I applied for a loan it took 2 days the first time I paid it off, it was small to help build credit,. Now I've applied because I'm in an emergency situation where i wasn't getting a check for a week so i needed money for my car to get to work. They approved me the day of but never contacted me, I had to do all the prompting after calling them because I hadn't heard anything I was informed documents needed to be signed. They sent them immediately leading me to wonder why they weren't sent days prior. I signed them immediately sent back and 48 hours again no word. I call and, oh yeah it's been approved everything's signed we just need to fund your payment. Like now a week later I dont even need the loan there is zero urgency on your end. I called everyday I didn't receive a response and its frustrating. Now I have to close this loan when they finally do fund it because I've already had to borrow money elsewhere to cover said emergency.

Mark Krotulski1Could not believe it............our house in Pennsylvania has sold and we will have settlement on a house here in Bryan in a few weeks. Wanting to transfer our funds from the credit union we use in PA to Texas we went to this branch to open accounts. The doors were locked so we called the phone number on the front door and got a person in Austin. She called the bank who wanted to know if we had two forms of ID and what were they. I told her a driver's license and social security card. I was told that wasn't enough, they needed for me to have a utility bill or mortgage papers showing our address here in Texas. I explained we won't have utility bills until after we purchase the house, that I had the agreement of sale would that work. She said no I need to show that we have a mortgage. I told her we were paying cash for the house. We were looking to open a checking and savings accounts, and credit card with a local bank. She apologized and said sorry they won't let you into the bank. So we are left still looking for a bank that will take our money and want our business.
Response from the ownerHello Mark! Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you experienced difficulties while trying to visit us in our branch today. Unfortunately, our branches are only open by appointment only due to COVID-19, which is why you were unable to enter the lobby.
