This is the WORST financial institution that I have ever dealt with. They put a negative information on my credit report for delinquent payments, on a loan that was already paid off. Now, a year and a half after the loan was paid in full, I find that they never filed a release of lien, and I can’t get them to send it to me. Also, you can’t get a hold of anyone. They won’t call you back. The ease of being able to make transactions is horrific. They bank the same way people did in the 80’s.

AFFCU changed their website. I have to re set up accounts to make payment. Could take multiple days to get set up so I call to pay over phone and they want to charge me a fee for paying over the phone. The only reason I have to pay over the phone is because THEY changed their website. Wouldn't even waive the fee, when again, it was due to their change. Embarrassing

AFFCU has been a great bank to me for years but their system is somewhat archaic. If you need to change, update, amend ANYTHING they requre a letter saying the details of the request then emailed to them. And to call them is a MESS. I called the local branch and the 800 number for over an hr only to be ran in circles by the automation. You press 0 to be connected to a representative & it routes you back to the home automation of pressing 1, 2, or 5, etc. By the grace of God after an hr I went thru all the prompts of each number and finally got ahold of a representative only to be told I needed to send them an email. Now I have to call back to continue my request upon receipt of my email. Something needs to be done about these processes; there is to much technology out here.

Wow, so many negative reviews! I’ve had nothing but positive experiences and great interest rates from AFFCU.

If I could give them zero Stars I would. I've been a mandatory member for 25 years because of a union required vacation fund I started participating in May of 1995. Over the course of 25 years I have financed the boat a couple of cars with them . Recently are union decided to stop making deposits into the bank. At the time I had $3 in my account. I didn't think anything of it and stopped using it. I get a phone call today saying I owe them $43 because apparently there was an annual fee that forced the account into a negative and now they're charging $5 a day because of the negative balance. The only activity on the account is there activity and they're forcing me to pay for it. Air Force Federal credit Union is more like a Wells Fargo with all their fees it's the way they make money is hitting the people with the least amount of money in their account after 25 years of doing business with them.

Writing this to offset to nonsensical reviews on here. I've had multiple auto loans with AFFCU and they are always great. I have had some issues, but they have made them right. Still my go to bank for loans. Very friendly staff! I will agree though that some of the logistics or systems they have in place seem to be dated. There have been times when I needed to change checking accounts and you have to fill out a form and email it to them. This is a fairly dated process. I'd like to see the institution invest some money in improving their systems.

They are stuck in the 70's or something. I financed a vehicle here because of the low interest. I didn't like the way they apply payments. You have to transfer the money from your account 3 days before the day you want it to apply. Their website is so old, it is always a time consuming process to pay the payment. I typically pay more than is due, but they do not apply the additional payment to the next payment like every other bank I have dealt with. I asked and they told me they do not allow an account to be paid in advance, so that was not good. Once you close your account, you will have to write a letter to request them to close the savings account they made you open to get the loan. There are other banks with much better service and a few pennies a year isn't worth the headache.

Been with this credit union since I was a child, my grandfather was the one who set up my account. I remember having such an easy time using the services and being able to call day or night whenever I had an issue with a stolen debit card or locked account. Now God forbid life happens after 5 PM. I hate that when I've lost my debit card I have to WAIT till 9 AM to protect myself or WAIT to 9 AM to access my own balance if I get locked out. What happened to that fantastic customer service?

No such thing as customer service. Been trying to reach out and have called all customer service numbers. The call prompts just loop back and forth and no representatives answer when selected. Emails have been ignored. Embarrassing
