  My mom and I went to academy bank to get assistance with her account. My mom was very concerned that she gave account info to the wrong person over the phone and needed to protect her account asap. Rachel listened and right away began to help. Rachel closed the card and reassured my mom that everything was ok. Rachel also made the situation better by just caring about my mom as an individual and even went out of her way by taking care of the over draft fees while dealing with a line of customers. Rachel is the sweetest! Hands down the best 😁

  Great Bank!! Dustin Fisher, the branch manager, is very knowledgeable and very sincerely cares about his customers. Elizabeth Rangel, the assistant manager, is awesome. She is very patient, is always happy to see customers, and is very polite. She makes customer's days all the time. I come to the branch and she lights up my day. Alessa and Marla are fine people to teller with. This branch is awesome!

  Elizabeth Rangel is an incredible woman. You are all very lucky to have her as an employee. She has helped me through so many aspects of my life from building my credit with the credit builder, to understanding my current situation and encouraging me, to helping me get my first ever car loan. This woman helped change me into the independent confident woman I am today. I recommend any and everyone I know to go and meet this wonderful banker. You Rock Elizabeth!!!!

  I love Academy Bank. I've had an account here for about 5 years, and I have never had a problem with it. The employees are super smart, and can help with any problems or questions you might have. All of the staff is always willing to help, and they always treat you like family. I couldn't see banking anywhere else.

  Hello google review readers, I write this to let those who are looking for bank know the realities of Academy Bank. First, let me start by saying its a bank located inside of a Wal-Mart. With that said, set all expectations of this bank to your lowest standards. I personally have an account i will be closing soon. I have what they consider "over-draft protection", which they dont respect. What i mean by that is my account will not let me charge if i have no money in there, yet i am constantly hit with over draft fees of $29.00,$58.00 and even seen fees up past $125.00 daily over draft limit. This business is 100% SCAM. I do not recommend this bank to any one nor any business. Thank you for your time and hope this will help in your decision-making on a bank.

  I've been banking at Academy for a long time. I blew my credit and Academy helped me get it back! I'm grateful for this! No other bank would take me with out a huge deposit. It was crazy. But Academy has been helpful in that regard. If they had more staff I'm sure they would be more efficient and timely. High turnover. Over all they do the best they can are under a lot of pressure! So wear their shoes for a day and I'm sure they would be appreciated more. Staff works under a high demand and the environment appears shaky, not necessarily in the bank but with all the mobs of folks in and out of Walmart. Have mercy, as the staff is showing up to their jobs. Bravo staff at Academy bank. Im sure the staff at AB. tolerates more grouchy folks than one could even imagine.

  I have had an account in Academy Bank at least six years ago. I really like this small bank. It is close to my home, usually the employees are very nice... I really enjoy the extended hours and the possibility to make transactions saturdays and sundays and afternoon hours monday to friday until 7:00 pm. I don't have any problem with ATMs because usually I do all my transactions directly in the office. I manage small amounts of money and I am very organized. I rarely have overdrafts, but in case of having them, the charge is only $ 25.00 ... For people like me, who don't handle huge amounts of money or need a lot of coverage of ATMs and financial services, I think it is an excellent option. I love my bank and totally recommend it.
