  This branch is the best branch in KC. LaVonda and Anayeli are always working here and they are courteous and professional yet friendly. It is so welcoming to find people who still care about customer service. I'm so grateful to drive out of my way to see these helpful faces

  Well, I had a background check done by another bank which just so happened to have a past due debt owed to academy bank. I waited on hold for over an hour total. Was hung up on. Finally spoke to a lead named Dorothy, who instantly became rude and unpleasant even though I explained the insane amount of frustration that I endured for the last hour.. Put through the ringer to solely find out they had no idea the amount owed. Claimed it went to collections- FYI their "collections" is a department that doesn't deal with phone calls, and the only way I was able to pay the debt in "collection" was to go to into a branch, which apparently is their collections dept, to verify my identification. After I had already verified my SSN DOB and mother's maiden name. Yet somehow that wasn't enough to verify that it was me. Bless up to the good Samaritan out there calling in to pay on random people's debts! After spending over an hour on the phone and hold, I was able to track down a local branch on the phone. Which in less than 3 minutes had more information for me than the previous hour attempting to figure this out through the help center... the help center also stated with absolute guarantee that I could not pay over the phone. Well, turns out, you can. There's a particular individual in a few branches that can take payments over the phone. Here's my advice. Do not. I repeat... DO NOT waste your time with the 800 number. If possible try and contact the actual branch. They are friendly, helpful, and thankfully knowledgeable.

  Great place to bank always have taken care of my needs I like the way my account rounds up and auto deposits some in my savings for me

  I can understand a wait even with two tellers, but they seem to not care if someone stands there for 10 minutes. Then barely communicated with my transaction needs and ended up not helping me with everything I needed done. Two other employees were wandering around behind like they didnt know what to do, including one who did have to ask how to use the fax machine, which my teller helped with, maybe confusing her on my needs.. either way, glad I am done with this bank and closed my account to do business elsewhere.

  This is the worst place to bank. Go literally anywhere else. You'd probably be better off trusting a stranger with your money. How tf does a bank cause your account to be negative because they randomly decide to take out a "service fee"?? I'm so done.

  No one was ever rude to me but y’all definitely DON’T listen. I came in yesterday to close both my accounts I was told my account would be closed completely. Today I open up the app to see if they actually did it and there’s still a checking account. Im not sure if y’all just didn’t care or didn’t listen to me but I said BOTH. If I get charged for anything else on this account, I will not be paying it. This bank is trash. Too many overdraft fees, they move money over on purpose between accounts so they can charge you fees. Don’t use this bank. $32.00 overdraft fee for being $1 short for less than 24 hrs.
