  I was scamed out of some money and I called the bank for help and all they did was say they can't help still no help from this place and can't even get a returned call well I'll stay with chase

  Update: we have banked here for a while now and I have been very impressed with their customer service. Very helpful. Even sometimes remembering our names. I like the option to sign up for appointments online for more in depth appointments. I chose this credit union for a couple of reasons. I prefer credit unions to banks. It was close to home. And it sponsored the Seven Days event. The location was clean and modern. Every one we spoke with was nice. They offered water and cookies. I was impressed until I found out that inside they don't have people tellers, but computerized tellers. I guess I might be old fashioned, but one reason I like CU over a big bank is the personalized service. You can't get that from a computerized teller.

  I am extremely satisfied with how they have treated me here. They have gotten me into my dream vehicle at age 19 with incredibly low interest. Kay Taylor was THE MOST HELPFUL PERSON ON THE PLANET! Me being 19, this is my first time refinancing and am still learning everything, so of course I asked plenty of questions. She never was rude about it with me, she gave me great advice and took great care of me. Truly an exceptional service and learning experience for me.

  The branch itself is typical. 2 tellers and atm last time I went there. Now Community America as a whole is the right place to be. No weird fees, thousands free atms, great rates on loans, money back on checking, real $ on savings (not 0.04 c/yr), great customer service, great app, joint accounts... believe it or not my wife and I tried to change to another CU but we couldn't find a good match.

  They run a hard pull on your credit when opening an account. Yes, they check your credit to have the privilege of holding your money. I had an appointment to open checking and savings but decided against it when the person at the door told me about their idiotic policy.

Although a credit pull is required for all account openings, that does not by any means mean that your score must be perfect.
