  Warning to ABNB members military and civilian: I opened a account at the ABNB office in Elizabeth City, NC about 20 years ago when I was active duty at the Coast Guard base. After I retired a few years ago, I was not using the account very often but I had about $360 in savings so I figured it was safe there (it's a savings account after all) so I just left the account opened. So ABNB has a "Inactive account fee" of $15 a month after six months. So they started taking $15 each month until there was no money left, then they charged me over-draft fees when a charge came in on the checking account and the accounts had a negative balance. I never got a letter or phone call from the bank (my fault for not checking my statements closer but I since it's a savings account the money was safe). Once the account went negative they called me to tell I owed them about $80 in over-draft and daily fees. I was able to get them to reverse some of the charges and close the accounts but I fell like they just stole my money. "ABNB - Save your money with us- if you don't spend it fast enough, we'll spend it for you!"

  ABNB obviously hires non qualified, non dependable and non trusted bank tellers. When I went through the drive thru to deposit a personal check written out to me it was also an ABNB check the teller never deposited the money into my account but the slip of paper I got back shows that the money was deposited into the check issuer account. When I spoke to the person whom wrote me the check, the money was taken out of their account . So now where Is my money. Now it's Sunday and I realize that my money is not in my account because I tried to purchase groceries and for my card to be declined is Soo embarrassing. What tops it off is they don't even have 24/7 customer service to speak to someone. I have to wait until Monday during business hours. What bank does that. I am are trusting them with my money and when there is an issue you have to wait for business hours. Ummm no way. Also why would someone write a check to have it deposited back into that same account. Uh no one. So why would they take a check written to me but take it out and put it back into the issuers account. None they are obviously not qualified to handle checks and people's money .

  I love that this branch is working with me an my payments. Mr. Smith is wonderful and very understanding with his customers. That man deserves a raise. I would have given 5 stars but I spoke with a lady named Lanese who was rude toward the end of our call. I used to work in customer service for years and its a certain way you speak to your customers, she needs more training in how to empathize with others since she doesn't know what we are going through. Its not what you say, its how you say it.

  Nice business. Only complaints that I have is when I try to pay my credit card payment online, seems to have issue paying at times. Then I have to call customer service. A few times when I paid in person the computer wasn't printing out receipts. This causes an inconvenience for me. Other than that nice business to deal with. Love the customer service.

  I thought some banks close at 6:00pm and says on google as well, so we got here literally 5:58pm, parking lot is empty, but 2 cars at the atm, so what do you all do??? Close early to get off early???? Some people still work till it’s time to get off work... y’all are getting paid till 6:00pm, do y’all’s job done right.

  I have been with this credit union since 2008 and I absolutely love banking here! The staff is always super nice and helpful! I 100% reccomend using them as your day to day banking source!

  ABNB FCU Is one of the customer oriented Financial Institutions that I have ever dealt with. They literally bend over backward to help their customers. I am 60 y/o so I have quite a bit of experience with Banks, Credit Unions, Insurance Companies and Financial Planners. They provide an extremely valuable service to the community and work with people when others will not!!!!!!!

  Great bank to do business with!! I don't think ill ever leave. However.... their little tubes you have to use to make transactions inside the building are so impersonal. Customers prefer to do business face to face.

  Not sure why the low ratings. They're the only ones that approved my auto loan a year ago, and I had no issues going in to talk to them about it.

  WORST BANK EVER! DO not give them your business. They are not very helpful especially the loan department; any questions you have concerning your loan good luck getting answers even when you're trying to pay off your loan and get away from these awful people!
