Dawn kennedy5I wrote a pretty scathing review last week of the Aplus Federal Credit Union that I bank with. Since then, and I don't think as a result of, they really stepped up to the plate and went out of their way to make everything right. The staff, including the vice president of the bank made sure that they came up with a viable alternative and solution to my problem of being able to get my money where it needed to be. This was definitely excellent customer service in action. I have never seen better. I am filled with gratitude that they were finally able to help me.

shay reynolds2Walked in and was greeted by an employee. She looked startled by my presence, another person came to assist her with communicating. Was told to go to the drive thru to be serviced when the lobby was clearly open. Person to person is always best, super kind people, poor policy!

Leslie Mozisek1Checked an account balance and found that they charged overdraft charges when I had a positive balance which then caused an overdraft balance even with an incoming direct deposit on the same day. Representative tried to tell me its how the charges were processed. However, that’s not what I see when I logged in and the representative couldn’t explain it any better. This isn’t the first time this has happened yet this time they didn’t reverse the overdraft fees that they created. I won’t be here much longer. I’ve never had this problem at my previous institution and I’ll probably go back to them. Update to their response below: Apparently, they’ll bring up something from the past as if it has an bearing on the present issue. It doesn’t. It doesn’t help shed any better light on the institution.

Jenny Cantu1Yesterday I went with my mother to withdraw money. The ATM machine made weird sounds while it was processing the request. Within a few minutes I received transaction is cancelled along with a receipt and the card. Fast forward a few minutes later the machine had a bright red light where the cash withdraw thing is. My parents looked at their bank statement and supposedly the money was withdrawn, despite the cancelled transaction. Not only that but when my father called we received horrible customer service.

Typically if the ATM does not complete the transaction, the money will look as if it was withdrawn and then reposted to the account. Joy Guyton1I’ve bank with Aplus for well over 20 years but have been receiving horrible service for the last 3 years. Online banking is the worse! I set up my account for automatic monthly mortgage payments at a certain amount but the bank paid much less which therefore cause late payments! Seriously! Then when asked about it they said go online and make sure everything is correct.. ok once there when trying to correct a payment I did Not request it showed an error. One in which they had to work hard and correct. Check deposits online are almost impossible either it can’t read it or it’s down, or the deposits are placed on hold indefinitely. I called they said well you deposited a $1,400 check why did this company write a check for you this big and what is the check for?😳😳😳 I wanted to call him every name under the sun but I kept it professional. Of course I told him none of his business and the check was from a legitimate company. I use check deposit because I live in another town where that don’t have Aplus credit unions. Lastly, once my scheduled bills have been paid the correct balance does not show for days at a time! Maybe it’s time for me to take my business some place else. Because that’s only half of the issues and problems I’ve had with them.

Tony Stark1Just opened an account with them last week and after calling into their customer service department for the first time, I’m ready to close out my account. The girl talked to me horribly. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she said “for what?!”. Then she told me no I couldn’t speak with a supervisor. I told her I wanted to close out my account because of the way she was talking to me and she said “okay you need to go up to the branch”. Called back to member services to complain and they didn’t even care. Said they’re were sorry but never asked for me account number or anything. Just told me to go up to the branch. My very first interaction with your customer service department is the reason I’m leaving this review and closing my account.

Elizabeth Terrence3Good to bank at. The staff is friendly and remembers me every time. However, One time I used the coin machine and it took some money from me. I told the bank and we exchanged some calls but ultimately I did not receive any money back. (The next week the machine qas " out of order" , go figure. )

Landon Jordan5I have banked here for the past year. Every time I walk in they are very polite and happy to see you. People seem genuinely interested and often remember small parts of past conversations. Security of a national beach with the feel of a small town bank!!

Kathy White1A very good friend of mine went to this establishment. They were evacuated from Victoria, TX and had to stay with friends and family in Pflugerville, TX. They were on their way back home and stopped at A plus Credit Union to get change for their bills so that they could do their laundry before heading home to a place with possibly no water or electricity. A plus refused to provide them with change. This is the most absurd thing I have ever heard of. They were not asking for a hand out or anything. This place needs to learn about compassion. Their reasoning behind it was that my friend was not a customer of theirs. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!
