Gabby Perez1Took over an hour to get a new debit card. Always a long line here. Their staff seems to run at a slow pace. And don't care about theit customers time. The lobby is closed and the drive through is the only option. Poor management. Poor staff. Repeatedly slow poor service.
Response from the ownerHello Gabby - I apologize for the experience you had with A+FCU. Please email me at [email protected] with more information, but do not include any confidential information. Thank you.

Carol Miller2I get numerous pieces of junk mail from them, offers to buy all sorts of insurance, credit cards etc; but unfortunately they have on several occasions failed to send my bank statement. I'm giving them 2 stars because they are polite when you call and complain about not receiving your statement. I do not recommend this bank.

Rick 6173What started out as a 5 star when account is new, is slowly losing its quality. Unfortunately, there is no across the board decisions in any branch. Depending on who is your teller, it may be a smooth transaction or a ruin your day transaction. There have been many times where it seems the tellers pick and choose who their favorites are. If you bank at this institution, be sure and get known with one teller, or one location. You will not be treated the same at "C" branch, if your normal location is "A" bank. Its sad the comments being written but it is true. There have been times tellers are wanting to put a 2, 5, 7, even 10 day holds! I had no prior contacts with tellers that automatically put a hold on deposits. I had one teller wanting to put a 2 week hold on a CASHIERS CHECK!!! It's maddening when you get told that but yet, can drive over to another branch and get told a different option or having your funds immediately available. Even releasing half the funds and a 2 day hold on your other half is much more helpful than a full-on hold. It's unfortunate and it is a type of prejudice to be judge by your account balance instead of your account history.
Response from the ownerHello Rick - I apologize for the experience you had with A+FCU. Please email me at [email protected] with more information so we can help you. Thank you.

Jennifer Sims3Once I bragged about A+FCU suggested my co workers and friends join. Not anymore. Yesterday, I had my 4th debit card - within the last 6 months - compromised. I almost always use it as a credit card because it pays more than using as a debit, AND it's supposed to be safer they told me. The last time, the young lady taking my report told me this had been happening to more members I'm wondering if it's an internal employee using my information, maybe selling it.??? The 1st time, mmmh, ok. The 2nd time, ok. The 3rd time, what's going on? The 4th time is the time to leave. There are other credit unions... It's unfathomable, and unacceptable. I'm writing a complaint to NCUA and the TX OAG.
Response from the ownerHello Jennifer - I apologize for the experience you had with A+FCU. We've passed your feedback along to management for their review. If you have additional questions, please call 512.302.6800. Thank you.

Abigail Dunn1Worst banking experience of my life. No one knows what they’re talking about or the proper protocols. You get a different answer every time you call or go into a branch. I have been trying to wrap up my fathers estate with them for over 3 months. Of all things you would think they would know how to handle an account when someone dies. There were also technical issues making transfers between different financial institutions causing several weeks delay in payments. Awful! Not one good thing to say. On top of everything I had to wait a long time on each visit just adding to the frustration. I have pulled all my funds and will never be banking with A+ again. I would recommend staying far away!
Response from the ownerHi Abigail - I sincerely apologize for the experience you had. I replied to you on Yelp as well, but if you have any additional questions or need more assistance, please email me at [email protected] so I can help you. Thank you.

Gabriela Rodriguez2When I opened an account with A+ in 2013, everything used to go so smooth. A+ used to be a part of the credit union program where you could use other credit union’s atms and branches with no fees. A few years later, A+ left the program. You can still withdraw from certain credit union atms without a fee but other credit unions will not accept deposits. Making it difficult to add cash and check funds to your account if you do not live or commute nearby an A+ branch. A+ does have a mobile app where you can snap a picture of your check and deposit it. However, sometimes the system puts a hold on your check for up to five days. Making it a hassle to pay your bills. Customer service wise, I have never had a bad experience. Everyone has always been nice and helpful.
Response from the ownerHello Gabriela - I apologize for the experience you had with A+FCU and appreciate your feedback. Please email me at [email protected] if there's anything else we can help you with. Thank you.

samana benedetti3I’ve been with A+ for seven years Since I moved to Austin I have sent several people to them and now it’s so frustrating going to the drive-through because no matter what day or time of day I go it’s gonna take me 20 to 45 minutes and I can’t stand it anymore How about better training or efficiency?
Response from the ownerHello Samana - I apologize for the experience you had with A+FCU. Please email me at [email protected] with more information, but do not include any confidential information. Thank you.

C B1The most incompetent banking institution around. I've been here for over 15 years, however the past year has been terrible! No one knows what they're talking about and you will have to go to the actual bank 6 different times and call 4 different people before anything actually happens. From mortgage, to closing a 6 month certificate, to taking over 6 months to get a halfway usable debit card, a nightmare for everything. Do not bother, go somewhere else!
Response from the ownerHi Carmen, I apologize for the inconvenience. If you would like to discuss this further, please give us a call at 512.302.6800. Thank you.

Spaceman Sector131Horrible bank. They will offer programs to prevent over draft and when it happens try to reword on how the program doesn’t work to prevent over draft in certain circumstances. They will state to have paid the “party” that attempt to take out of the account and then you paid them payback with a fee of course and the “party” will state to never be paid and make you pay them and AplusFCU. Representatives will go back on words and policy and systems explanation if they make a mistake. Look for a better credit union.
Response from the ownerGood afternoon - I apologize for the inconvenience. Please email me at [email protected] with more information so we can help you. Thank you.

All the staff is amazing but Brandon went above and beyond for me just with simply giving kindness. We need more people like Brandon in this world ❤️ Bless his soul.
