  Owner of property gets 5 stars, unfortunately Wilgus gets 1 star. The woman at Wilgus who called me after I spoke with the owner and left the house was so rude and out of line. She did not have the correct info and would not allow me to speak and give her the facts. Someone who does not know how to use good customer service should not be in contact with the public period.

  Loved working with Wilgus. Disappointed in the same place we rent yearly for years. Furniture coverings need to be washed and carpet needs to be replaced. Cleaning service didn't seem as great as in the past.

  We have been renting from Wilgus every summer since 1998. We originally rented the Shoals until my kids turned 12, then onto S. Pennsylvania Ave using advice from one of the great agents. We were heartbroken when the house sold and once again Wilgus found us the perfect place. This summer will be 6 years at the last house but love the best! Wilgus has always been the best to work with all these years!

  I have used Wilgus to rent my condominium and to sell the condo. Both areas of Wilgus are a pleasure to work with. In the rental area, requests were handled pleasantly and quickly. When I wanted to sell my property, Kylie Givens was my agent. She is pleasant, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to help me. I would recommend Wilgus without reservation.

  Shannon helped me secure homeowners insurance and was polite and professional. A few obstacles were no challenge for Shannon, as my loan and property were unique and we were in a hurry. She immediately responded to calls and rectified all issues. I highly recommend this office to obtain homeowners insurance.

  Wow! Michael and team Wilgus are a rare breed. Truly some of the nicest, caring people on our planet. After meeting them you learn real fast why they have been successful for nearly a century. It's not about the quick "Buck" with them. Long term relationships is the main ingredient to the companies stay power. And that becomes quite obvious when communicating with the Wilgus staff. I can't imagine the headache that comes with the business of renting beachfront property and not knowing when the season starts? Or if it will start at all. Even through the Covid period the conversations were calm, cool, and collect. To which I say Thank You Michael, and team Wilgus. Your ability to balance patience and persistence make the difference. Keep doing what you do. Treating people the way you want to be treated. And some.

  During the COVID pandemic, I have seen some amazing acts of kindness, until it was time for me to deal with Wilgus Assoc. My interaction with them was horrendous and proved to me while there are good ethical companies out there this is not one. This company is all about greed and has used the misfortune of others to enrich themselves. I rented this property back in February for a family reunion before COVID. Due to COVID there was a loss of income in my household and my elderly family members were no longer interested due to health reasons. I explained this to Crystal in March and asked to cancel. She informed that Wilgus has every intention of enforcing their cancellation policy and I would then forfeit my $1706 deposit and would be responsible for the remaining balance of $1300. Short of begging I asked her to please contact the owner to see what could be work out. I suggested renting the property later on in the summer when it would be more affordable or possible reserving something next year. She said she would contact the owner and will get back to me. During those 3 months I called and emailed Crystal and got no response. The one time she did answer the phone, she suggested that I should have the means to pay the remaining balance due to the stimulus and unemployment. Just by chance in June I happened to visit their website and discovered the property was rented. I made contact with Wilgus manager and demanded my deposit. She informed me that I will receive a refund minus 15% and could expect $1315, not the $1705 I originally paid. To make a long story short. My opinion is that Wilgus had no intentions of refunding my my deposit. This was obvious to me because of their lack of communication. They gave me the run around for 3 months and it was only by chance that I saw that the place was rented. During a crisis peoples true colors shine through and all they care about is the color green!

  Kylie Givans did a phenomenal job and went beyond the extra mile from start to finish helping us with the purchase of our beach house. She organized all the service contractors, lawyers etc and even got us a great deal on our survey and elevation certificate and did it with a wonderful and seamless demeanor. If you’re buying in Bethany Beach - and especially if you live afar - go with Kylie! If there were six stars we would select all of them.
