      If you are poor (as I am) and may over draw your account at times, I would definitely recommend a different financial institution. The way they final post the tranactions causes multiple overdraft fees even before your account is technically negative because all the charges are processed together. There are other banks (ie Huntington) that do not do this, but actually post your charges separately and in an order that causes you the least overdraft fees possible.

      I tried to start an account with Whitewater but every time I went in to get it started they told me I needed a new or different piece of information with me. After 3 tries I finally decided that it wasn't worth the trouble. After the experience I had, I would recommend going to a different credit union.

      I apologize for any confusion. We're a small office and no one remembers anyone coming in to open an account and leaving due to lack of paperwork. We require that you bring your unexpired government issued photo ID (driver's license typically) and proof of address ONLY if the address on the ID in not accurate. (paystub, utility bill, lease agreement or similar document) You do need to live, work, worship or attend school in Harrison, Ohio to join our credit union. Please give me a call if you had your ID, proof of address (if necessary) and you qualify for membership so I can look into this further. We definitely don't like hearing that someone came in and left unhappy. - Jenny
