  How does one describe pure excellence? In my case, his name is Randy Johnson, Loan Officer, Wheelhouse Credit Union! As a member for well over 25 years, I've worked with Randy for the past 5. During that time Randy has been my one and only source when it comes to my loans. Now about Randy, not only is he my loan officer, he's been my guidance counselor. Meaning, when my credit score was lingering in the low 500's, he's educated me, guided me and personally took the time over several years to where my credit score is now in the 650's. Although Randy is modest and gives me the credit, it was and is Randy who got me to where I am today. I am so forever grateful that Wheelhouse Credit Union has someone in their ranks that treat their members like family.   Beware of Wheelhouse credit Union! Do not put your money into this credit union! They do not handle their own phone calls. They are connected to a call center so that means a third-party has your information not to mention they do not handle their ATMs. I had put $500 into my ATM right outside of the branch and gave me a receipt and hours later my whole deposit was adjusted and removed from my account. I then found out that they have a call center of people who are not even connected to the bank Answering their calls and they are from a different credit union and a company by the name of Sectrum who handles the ATM so I couldn’t even speak to someone directly about the issue. I put cash into the ATM and they blatantly told me that I would have to wait 10 business days to have my issue resolved. When you were taking cash from a customer and then not giving it back for 10 days, sounds like a scam to me. They need to be investigated AT THE B STREET LOCATION

  I just completed an auto loan through Wheelhouse and it was the easiest, most painless, financing process I have ever done. Most of the credit is owed to the rep who helped me, Lina. Lina is the most positive, upbeat, thorough associate I've had the pleasure of working with at a bank. I would highly recommend doing your next auto loan with Wheelhouse and be sure to ask for Lina!

  So I can't believe I'm reviewing a bank, but the customer service I experienced here was unbelievable. I was having a really good day until I went to this bank and encountered the heavy set, with poorly dyed maroon hair bank teller. I was trying to make a withdrawal from an account to a shores branch, showed up with the account number and all the information necessary. This teller tried to pull up my account information and couldn't find it. When I asked her if it was typed correctly, because I had literally just driven there from another shared branch with the account number I just used successfully, she became downright rude. And it was the rude but sugar coated while saying things sarcastically and shooting you daggers with the eyes type of rude. For example, when I said "I literally just used that same exact number at another branch," she ripped the computer screen from her side of the counter around to mine then loudly and sarcastically stated "and I literally just typed that number in and it doesn't work so what else would you like me to do?!" I know critical thinking and typing numbers into a keyboard is hard, but when she could not figure it out... her coworker was able to figure it out on the first try. I mentioned to this teller about the one with purple hairs attitude and this teller was very apologetic and looking at me like I'm not the first person that had happened to with the other one. Not only did she not apologize for her self demeaning attitude, she again felt the need to comment at me as I walked out the door and I had just thanked her coworker. I think this speaks a lot for management of this branch and the trickle down effect. Or, maybe it is just this one person that needs some help in her life.

  I would like to say that this Credit Union located at 320 Bst. Has parking that is in the Ace lot directly behind the office. They validate. I have found that 95% of the employees right down to the lobby security guard are friendly and will be more that happy to help you out. There are some outstanding employees such as Manix Phayvanh who always finds the answers and is a real problem solver. Hats off to you Manix your the go tp person an if there is a problem it’s clear your the man with the answers. This Credit Union would not be nearly as successful if it were not for your work ethic and perseverance. The Wheelhouse Credit Union would not be the same without you.

  Absolutely awful customer service. Fortunately, I am with another credit union and only used their service since they are a shared branch. I went in for a simple deposit where I had recently changed the address for my driver's license, so I was on an interim license. On my first trip, I showed my original license which they declared invalid due to the hole punch, fair enough, so I return with my new interim license and this other clerk then asks for my original. I mention to her that Deanna (the previous clerk) has seen my original license already from my previous trip and that I had no idea they needed both. Makes no sense, one valid id should be enough. Deanna (the clerk) never mentioned that I needed the original with the new one, because she didn't think I would return. I guess they don't want customers and must love one-star reviews. If I could, I would give them a minus one-star. She then mentions that I should be carrying both licenses at all times. Um, what if my license was lost or if I was a newly licensed driver and only had my interim paper license? They wouldn't accept it. Just pure incompetence. Top that with their inflexible office hours and lack of branches, I can't see how any San Diego resident would even do service with these clowns.

  Excellenta, what more Services do you need? Metropolitan’s is a Credit Union. Credit Unions are NOT BANKS, I repeat, CUs are NOT Banks. From the moment I enter, I was politely & professonally greeted, May I help you? I’m a Share Member, the Clerk look it up with my Driver License & SS #. One thing I can’t stand are whining complainers that never knew how to Grow up.having a Positive Attrudes will get you, your service, Thank you Metropolitan Credit Union. You save me Ridiculous ATM fees.

  I was almost DONE with WheelhouseCU!!! Needed to make a (cash) deposit so my mortgage would clear. Called on Saturday (6/15) to confirm if I put in cash (at an ATM) it will post right away. I was assured cash would post with no holds. Well....they put a hold on my cash. Mortgage is DUE, my money is in the bank but on hold. Brian D. to the rescue! He confirmed he seen the funds in my account and seen it was deposited before mortgage was due. We chatted for a while and he calmed me down. I’ll never wait until the last minute for a deposit, I just got extremely busy....but I thought cash was CASH and no hold should be placed on it. Once again....Brian D., is the man! HE IS THE REASON IM STAYING WITH WHEELHOUSECU!!!!

  Been with this bank for 5+years. All of my loans (vehicle, credit, etc) have been through them. I see alot of criticism towards customer service from other clients. In my opinion they do awesome with a small staff. I do recommend this branch.

  I really wanted to like this place, especially with such a strong app. The other reviews are accurate in my experience. Look at Yelp, too. The consensus is that they're awful. Every time I call or go to a branch, I get a condescending, unfriendly person. I thought it was just me at first, but they're just a bank with terrible customer-facing employees.
