  Don't do business with them. They keep taking money from my other bank account to pay a loan I no longer have. This is the second time they have done it. I will not be doing business with them again and will warn others to stay away. Update reply to owner: you obviously can't find my info because the account was closed and you still withdrew from my other bank account on a closed account. Shame on your company. Times are difficult and I can't afford to have money taken for things I don't owe. The first time it took 5 days to transfer it back to my account. Yes, both times I got my money back but I should not have to stress about money being taken from my accounts.

  Telephone service is atrocious; on 7/6/22, CU rep gave me her WRONG name, said she was transferring me, then total disconnect! Subsequent call disclosed no such person, limited assistance. T Bromfield, 51year member.

  Wheelhouse CU will only fund loans for solar and energy efficiency if the contractor accept to become a customer of theirs and I assume pay fees. We have been a Wheelhouse customer for 2 years now with the financing of our solar system, we are the ones taking the loan and paying it back, not the contractor who, by the way is a very reputable contractor coming highly recommended.

  By far one of the best experiences I have had with a credit union in a long time. I recently refinanced by home and was able to get an amazing rate. The customer service exceed my expectations. From Michelle in the El Cajon Branch, to Nena Diaz in the lending division, to Randall Johnson in Downtown, Wheelhouse took great care of me. The process was fast and easy with ho hiccups or delays. Thank you to Wheelhouse Credit Union for your amazing service! I have now moved my accounts to this back! You rock.

  If you like attitude from phone support then this is your bank. Everything is difficult with Wheelhouse Credit Union. They seem to go out of their way to make regular banking transactions difficult. Accurate information is difficult to find from their support people and online. I paid off my loan and will never work with them again. They have a convoluted method to payoff a loan that requires you to transfer money and then call them multiple times. I'm happy to be done with them.

  Beware of Wheelhouse credit Union! Do not put your money into this credit union! They do not handle their own phone calls. They are connected to a call center so that means a third-party has your information not to mention they do not handle their ATMs. I had put $500 into my ATM right outside of the branch and gave me a receipt and hours later my whole deposit was adjusted and removed from my account. I then found out that they have a call center of people who are not even connected to the bank Answering their calls and they are from a different credit union and a company by the name of Sectrum who handles the ATM so I couldn’t even speak to someone directly about the issue. I put cash into the ATM and they blatantly told me that I would have to wait 10 business days to have my issue resolved. When you were taking cash from a customer and then not giving it back for 10 days, sounds like a scam to me. They need to be investigated

However, please know that the ten day hold on your deposit is within the regulatory guidance when researching a transaction such as this.   I joined and used SDMCU to finance my recent solar project. They were extremely easy to deal with and everything went through without a hitch exactly as Shawna had told me that it would. Would 100% recommend.

  ATM hidden in awkward location- hard to get to! Not well lit and only a walk up in an industrial area. Not safe at night! On the other hand ONLY Wheelhouse ATM North of I-8 and West of El Cajon. For when SDCCU ATM's occasionally don't allow money deposits! All other times I use SDCCU ATM'S as though they were Wheelhouse/SDMCU ATM'S.

  It's a good credit union, but if you don't live close to a branch I wouldn't sign up. They have a sister branch, but the people are rude and don't care.
