      Worst experience I’ve ever had since I opened this my bank account on 02/25/2019 today I was informed by Matt & James that due to a negative $1.56 in my bank account which let me add was taken from my savings account so no amount was remaining when my account was closed. my checking account I’ve had for 3 years was closed not even the slightest phone call because according to Matt “it’s not our policy to call” worst customer service and policy please educate your employees on how to handle these situations and adopt better practices. No longer interested in banking with people who value this poor customer service and policies.

      I applied online for a credit card over a month ago. I never heard anything from them, no denial letter which is required by law if I was denied and no approval, no correspondence at all. Then I get a call a month later from Jessica asking if I still wanted to proceed with the application. I asked what happened and they didn’t know. So I said sure. A girl named Sofia calls the subsequent day telling me I’ve been approved for $9,100 and I requested $10,000. No big deal so I said ok. They then stated I needed to open an account with them (savings and/or checking) in order to get the credit card. That is standard operating procedure at most loc credit unions so I said no problem. We set up a time for me to come in and see Sophia at the Jenks location. I get to the branch and Sophia is busy so Jessica helps me open the savings and sign for my credit card. After opening the savings account Jessica asks me some more questions related to my address. Then she says there is come confusion as to the amount I requested, $3,000 or $10,000. I said well Sofia said yesterday I was approved for $9,100. She said that was a mistake. So we go about finishing the savings account and we are now waiting for underwriting again for some reason even though I was supposedly already approved. I ask her how long it will take and she says it has to go to the underwriting manager so it may be a few minutes. Jessica said I don’t have to wait she can email me the documents and I can sign electronically. So off I went. I then get a call later in the day from Sofia, who continues to call me Rod instead of my actual name even when I answer the phone this is Rodney. Anyways, she calls to tell me based on the residency questions Jessica asked me that now my application is declined. The reasoning she gave was understandable; however, their handling of this entire process shown incompetency. Perhaps not by the front line members Sofia or Jessica but clearly the back office underwriting department is clearly lacking. I was approved for one amount, then I was approved for a different amount, then I was declined. Instead of asking if I had additional income they just declined the application altogether. I do have additional income of $1,000 a month but after the way Tulsa Federal Credit Union handled this it showed me I don’t want to do business with a place that handles clients in this fashion. As such, if you are looking for a credit union there are plenty in and around Tulsa that are far superior to Tulsa Federal Credit Union. I have loans, credit cards and mortgages at Communications Federal Credit Union, Tulsa Teachers, Western Sun and OK Central and I’ve only received top notch service from all of them.

      The employee answering phones around 11am yesterday really left an impression on me. I was incorrectly charged for a mistake caused by your institution, as I initially explained to the employee. The employee was rude and refused to reverse a fee despite my proving it wasn't my mistake. He became more and more rude up until (and even after) he literally viewed my dated signature proving what I'd said from the beginning. The fee that was incorrectly charged was reversed; however, I have no idea why someone would continue acting so rude and pompous when they'd clearly been wrong and rude to the wrong person. An employee so rude, childish and clearly lacking in customer service skills shouldn't be answering phones- it was enough for my husband and I to switch to Chase.
