  The user experience and navigation is not as smooth. A lot of times you can't even book directly and always need to reach out to the property owner to get more information. The site needs to operate more like Airbnb or VRBO.

  Kham, we’re sorry you were disappointed. We encourage direct communication between vacationer and homeowner to ensure that your questions are answered prior to booking. And, unlike the other sites you mentioned, we do not charge vacationers a booking fee.

  We have used his platform to rent out our cottage for last at least 8 plus years, the family that owns it are professional an always trying to improve their product and their relationships with their customers. It is a pretty smooth system and you can be very clear about your expectations of your renters using this platform. I've had nothing but success with it and will stay with them over their competitors.

  I have used this site to list my property for the past two years and have used it to rent other properties on the cape and islands. It is very helpful in contacting landlords or property managers directly and extremely resourceful with information on the status of the current rental market using their blogs. I have used VRBO in the past and found using this site saves me $ hundreds in fees that others charge both renters and homeowners. Will definitely continue to use it and recommend it highly for anyone who is looking to rent short term or long term on the Cape and Islands.

  What a sweet cottage, Noelle and Dave have fully renovated this place and have done such a beautiful job. This area in the "grove" is quiet and peaceful. Beds are comfy, 3 different areas to hang out in the yard. Kitchen is fully equipped. I highly recommend this rental!

  From the first time a single sided piece of paper was put in my rural mailbox on Martha's Vineyard to this 2021 weneedavacation has been perfect. Joan Talmudge and crew are responsive, proactive, 100% reliable and walk homeowners through every step. From helping to choose photos, attract and keep renters, finances such as The MA tax in 2020, conferences, videos I really can't think of anything they could improve upon. I am proud to exclusively list my Chilmark Rental with them. I can't imagine ever using another company. I pay to list. My renters do Not. I love that! I've used several realtors over the years including one you have to know someone to find. I won't list all of the disasters but I'm lucky I still have a house. Let me tell you. Going through an Island Rental broker is a joke. They want to sell you property. They wish you hadn't even bothered them with rentals. I have families that are like family. I take care of them they me. Not possible without weneedavacation.

  As a small business owner I think its so important for me to acknowledge a phenomenal company when I have the pleasure of working with one . A little backround first; I have used Weneedavacation as a renter for for 20 years with great success . Not on single problem ever ! Now as a renter of a summer home ( new to all of this ) i have had the pleasure of working with many of their helpful, knowledgeable staff members . From the start they have quickly addressed all my questions not via email or text but actual one on one phone conversations teaching me the tricks of the trade. I can not say enough good about this experience. For reference I have worked with their competitors and have a horrible experience. Renters out there, do yourself a favor and contact Weneedavacation you will not regret it !

  Some search options not installed. Lots of clicks and go backs. Not able to search open ended from a start date to view more options. We figure some homes get left out this way.

  Hello, what search options are you referring to? Did you use our Advanced Search? There are many filters you can select to fine tune your search, ie: date and price range, size of home, area, etc.

  Every time I have listed with WeNeedaVacation there has been a return on my money. But the biggest advantage is that I can interview prospective tenants to assess if they are suitable. Our open plan rental space is not right for everyone, and we want our guests to enjoy themselves. By using this site, we are able to connect with people in advance and determine their preferences. As a result, we have a very high rate of satisfied guests who want to come back year after year.

  Just a shout out to the staff at WNAV.com who during these unusual times have come to the aid of owners and guests alike providing information, assistance, guidance and forums for all. All of their offerings have helped to make the decision processes during COVID less trying. There were/are many issues affecting owners and guests during this unprecedented time. As usual they have shown such care and professionalism keeping us all educated and enlightened regarding the important details. Help in sorting it all out was much appreciated. But, most of all, as a regional platform they are able to TRULY add an incredible value that nationwide platforms simply cannot. They also give guests and owners that one-on-one interaction which seems more important these days for all involved. As you can see I cannot say enough good things about WeNeedAVacation.com and I wish that owners in other geographic locales were as fortunate as we are here on the Cape to have such a great group in our corner!!

In addition to our daily one-on-one interactions with homeowners, we felt that our virtual homeowner meetings could be a valuable source of support and information.   As a property owner (renting my vacation home), I saw little to no traffic via this site. Maybe a couple inquiries but no bookings. This was my second attempt at using them, but the return on investment was zero. I made a major investment in my home last year installing central a/c throughout, so, at this stage, there were no excuses not to rent from me (the home is fully refurbished - I've never had anything less than a 5 star rating from renters). My rates also seem in-line with others. I rented out this and last summer season (and the past 8 yrs) - just none of it came from this site. The people operating the business seem very nice and encouraging, like I'd see traffic but that just didn't happen. I wish them the best of luck.
