  DO NOT open a brokerage account with Wells Fargo Advisors.There are tons of other FREE online brokerage companies out there. Customer Service is a joke, rude overseas telephone agents who do not understand American dialect English, cookie cutter written communication lacking any detail forcing you to call their garbage overseas call centers, and overpriced "advisors" who would never cut it at any serious investment company. If you are serious about investing your own money, stay away from this train wreck. Based on personal EXPERIENCE.

  Wells Fargo Advisors brokerage accounts are 20 years behind the competition. It's actually incredibly embarrassing. Without a major transformation Wells Fargo will only exist as long they have the greatest generation, silent generation, and the baby boomers. Once they pass (sadly) Wells Fargo will as well.

  I've spent way too much time on hold for 2 payoff numbers for a business and personal credit card account. I'm 46 minutes into the call and have been transferred to 7 different people and still dont have what I'm looking for... the last person told me they wont give me a payoff amount over the phone for my business account. She also has been trying to transfer me to another department and even she cant get through to the business elite department as they keep hanging up on her. Wells fargo does everything in their power for you not to enjoy doing business with them. My final time on the phone was 1 hour 2 minutes and 37 seconds.

  Worst customer service ever. Wells Fargo cost me the sale of my truck because their service has been down for 4 days that I know of. None of the customer service reps were able to help verify my information when calling any of their 800 numbers. I will never do business with Wells Fargo again.

  Wells Fargo Advisors won't let me use my cash to buy some certain stocks, I can only sell it. This practice is so fishy and illegal. The only reason i can think of is they shorted that stock and come up with a policy to only let customers sell that stock and no buying. And yes, you hear this kind of things happen first time in your life. And their trading app is complete garbage, so slow, no live streaming quote, nothing. Stay away!

  The worst customer service I've ever experienced. Customer service would just hang up on me intentionally while merging call with one of my clients to perform a rollover. Some reps said we needed certain paper work while others didn't. All the while being on hold for 30 minutes to be transfered somewhere else for another 30 minutes. Definitely would NOT recommend to anyone

  I started the process of closing an account about a year ago. I have received multiple different forms to fill out, some looking the same, with just a minor difference to it. Every time I call, it seems to be an issue with something. Whether a new form needs to be filled out, or there is some technical difficulty. This is beyond ridiculous. It should not be this long to get my money back. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
