Wells Fargo Bank Reviews

Breanne Ament1Despite a friendly teller experience I had the worst customer experience I’ve ever had at a Wells Fargo. I’ve been a customer for about 15 years now and am incredibly disappointed. I walked in and was greeted promptly which was good, but I wanted to use the bathroom before depositing a large amount that I couldn’t do online or at an ATM. When I asked where the bathroom was I was informed that the restrooms are for employee use only because of COVID and was told the Target across the street was the closest bathroom. I found this comical because Target is hostile to people using their bathrooms without purchasing something, even then depending on who you are and what you look like they wont let you use them. As far as banks go even Trustone Financial has bathrooms for customer use. I can’t be the only client that has had to use the bathroom and been turned away. On top of that I brought my boyfriend with so he could open a business account with them but was told he had to make an appointment to open an account and was given a business card. I know staffing is tough but if that is the case you need to train your employees to conduct multiple tasks. That way not just one person is responsible for representing an entire division, let alone a division responsible for bringing in large amounts of money. We don’t have a location near us let alone the time to come in as we are working during business hours so today was really our only day to do it. As a result I’m not sure we will be coming back and opening up that business account. It is such a shame because I have always had such a good experience with Wells Fargo before. It used to be easy to go to and get in the day of, amenities available for customers, and bathrooms available for use when needed. Is this really what Wells Fargo has become? If so Wells Fargo has become the joke of banking.

Nina LeClair1After verifying my identity with the teller I find it completely unnecessary and unprofessional for the supervisor to come and look over all my transactions as if i was stealing my own money. I worked as a teller for many years in the past and have never seen this happen. Approving the tellers transactions is one thing I know you have limits, however to have me sit there for almost ten minutes for you to look over the things I've paid for in my account is ridiculous. I wasn't looking 10,000 or not out so completely unnecessary. I'll be closing my accounts this week.

Sierra Phillips1I'm a life insurance agent that conducts business over the phone via telesales due to COVID-19 and no longer going to clients home. I was helping a client get some life insurance protection in place for her family and we were having trouble obtaining her account number at home. She didn't have any checks, couldn't find any bank statements, and is 70 so she isn't very tech savvy to do online banking. She went into the branch to get her account number and after providing it to me to set up her payments, a bank teller told her that I was a scam and to hang up. When I called her cell phone back he answered and told me to quit calling her because I was a scam and hung up on me. I attempted to call the bank several times with no luck on getting a hold of a supervisor. I have contacted corporate to file a complaint because the way that bank teller handled his concerns was very unprofessional and unsettling. If he was concerned that my client was getting involved with a scam he could have asked for my name and state license number to verify that I am who I say am before flat out telling her this was a scam and to hang up. He could be the difference from this lady protecting her family and not and I'm sure that he wouldn't be willing to give her son a check for $10k when she passes away. I feel that he owes her an apology and needs to make this right. If the supervisor of this location could reach out to handle this matter that would be great! Corporate office tried to get in touch with this location as well and even called the internal number with no luck. I hope to hear from someone soon, I will be calling to check on the complaint claim if not resolved in the 48 hour time frame provided. Thank you.

Nicole Neist1No matter what time of day you come into the bank, there is ALWAYS a line to see a teller. You can’t do certain transactions in the drive through, so you have to go in and you have to wait. And no matter how busy it is, the tellers will definitely not hurry at all. It’s asinine.

Trin Carl1Bank employee assumed I spoke spanish and said they can’t do everyday banking because they are short staffed and told me to go to Eagan. They don’t give you temporary card at this time.

Brad McFaul1Awful, in line right now, trying to get a cashiers check. There’s one teller, someone’s been up there talking to him for about 30 minutes, standing in line. Everyone queuing up behind me. Told the manager, she said ‘sorry, we’re short staffed’. Not my problem! Time to take my business elsewhere, ridiculous, Wells Fargo has truly fallen far. I’ve been a customer since 1994. Ridiculous for a bank this size, Covid or not.
Response from the ownerI understand your time is valuable, and I apologize sincerely for the inconvenience. Please email me at [email protected] with your full name, phone number, and address (no account numbers). Be sure to also include your Google username and the Wells Fargo branch location you posted a review on. -Jessica, Wells Fargo HL Social

S Skaudis1Do not go to open a checking account at 4pm. We tried multiple times and were told they will not be able to help us due to the bankers being busy and that they close soon. I told the guy they were still open for 45 minutes, he then tells me one of the bankers is done at 4:30...we will not be going throigh Wells Fargo at this point.

Peter D1Still waiting over 30 minutes just to make a deposit in the middle of the day, 1 window open with 10+ customers waiting. 1 employee is just sitting at his window and won't help anyone. The manager must be having their afternoon nap.
