Wells Fargo Bank Reviews

Jeremy Rausch1Have had an account here for 13+ years. In the past six months I’ve gone in twice for assistance, abrasive employees who are restricted by WF policies. Find somewhere else to bank, I am.

Angel Dominguez5My review is way over due. This is the best Wells Fargo bank In Idaho. I have been to many others but never get greeted so nicely as in this branch. My wife and I drive all over the valley and make deposits every day. My wife won't go into any other branch but this one. So she sends me if we must use another branch. But 99% of the time we wait to use the Eagle branch. All the tellers are great. Jason the manager is always with a smile for all customers walking in. I love that he stops to shake peoples hands and ask to see if their needs are taken care of. His great customer service is reflected on his staff. We will be very sad if we don't see him in the branch when he get his well deserved promotion. Thank you Eagle Branch!

David Ashby3I still bank here (not sure why.. guess I don't want to deal with the paperwork), but I will probably move the last of my accounts away from WF in general (not just this location) at some point when I have time some weekend. So 3 stars for not being absolutely horrible. I read another recent review's comments here about having to set up an appointment to get a document notarized when there was only 1 other person in the whole bank. It reminded me of a time I called in (from their parking lot since I wasn't sure they were taking walk-ins due to COVID) and asked if I could come in to sign something in front of witnesses. They said I could set up an appointment. I get that they were about to close, but... I thought that would mean they Aren't Closed Now, as in.. when I am calling from their parking lot. I set the appointment. I went in at exactly the time of the appointment. The person asked me whom I was there to see. I answered. They said she was out to lunch, took a phone call, or was in the bathroom, I don't remember, but that she would be back in a few minutes. I paused for a second, considering just sitting down and waiting, but then as they started to walk away I called after them, and said something to the effect of, "I'm just here to sign this in front of 2 witnesses, if there's anyone else here who could do that" The guy looked up across the room to see if another banker was there - as I assume he didn't want to take a teller away from their station (fair enough) and said, "yeah, let me go grab someone" he came back in less than a minute, I signed, they signed that they saw me sign, and I thanked them and walked out. As I did, I passed the person I had an appointment to meet. It's not like they were super late, it had only been about 2 minutes since I showed up, but... that's my point. The thing I wanted to do took 2 minutes. It was 3 signatures on a single page. It never needed a 30 minute blocked out appointment with Anyone. That's not to mention the fees they charge and all of the other corporate shenanigans that they have pulled / are already getting in trouble for. That's not something specific to this branch, so I am not trying to say, "this WF branch is bad, go to a different one" I am trying to say, "banking at WF isn't the best, consider your options; I know I have" I once got a $35 overdraft fee, twice ($70) because of something like $20 of charges (across 2 charges). Did I agree to pay this when I opened the account; definitely. Is it still ridiculous that I give them my money to hold onto all year, every year, and they get to make money on the interest without paying me more than .01% and then charge me $70 the One time I forget to transfer money into the account, which I resolved within 24 hours so it's not like there was any actual damage to them for fronting me $20... Yeah.. That's still ridiculous. Charge me 100% APR and I would be happy. Charge me 100% interest per MONTH compounding continually for all I care. I had a credit card with you guys.. just put it on that and charge the fees to cash advance me lol.. Just.. $70. No.. Don't do that [and expect me to be happy with your "service"]. Yes, I agreed to it, so it's not like I am saying they did something wrong (incorrect), I am just saying they are doing something wrong (morally). This was during the pandemic, if I didn't mention that before. Maybe as a peasant small business I just made the wrong choice and WF is only for the big boys, I don't really know. Update: May 2021 - As a bit of an update for anyone who cares to read this far into some rando's experience with a bank: I have closed the last of my accounts with WF and am glad to not have to deal with this branch or any other WF branches, and especially their phone customer "support" ever again.

Mike Slotemaker5We've banked at Wells Fargo for years, and during our recent home purchase, we opted for a cashier's check instead of wire transfer due to recent high-profile scams with wire transfers. We walked into the bank and I slid a note to the teller (in hindsight, that's how many bank stories start...) and Gerry Rodriguez said that he would make sure every part of the process was accurate and complete so that there would be no issues during the closing of our house. He not only took care of all the requirements on the note from the lender, he printed out a summary of our account, stamped/signed it, and gave us his business card so that we could call him directly if there was any follow-up needed during closing. This is just one example of how Wells Fargo in Eagle goes above and beyond, and we have experienced others. They're top-notch.

J R5Been using this bank ever since I moved to Eagle at 12 years old in 2004. They have helped me countless times, with excellent customer service! They have also caught delinquents fraudulently trying to use my card, at least 6 times in the last decade, and a cent has never left my account. Glad to use Wells Fargo!

Garrett Tomlinson4i waited in here while my brother did something with his account or something. i’m really not sure what he had to do, but i was with him and we carpooled so i waited inside. it was really comfy and calm. i liked the feel. the manager was very friendly and seemed on top of things. made me feel at home. took a lot longer than my brother said it would, but that’s probably more on my brother than on the bank. maybe i could leave a review for him instead!! haha, all in good fun. but for real this bank seems really good. good atmosphere.

Wes Hunt5We have banked here for years. The bankers all know us by name and they are extremely helpful and always kind. I have always received great customer service!
Response from the ownerI truly appreciate you taking the time to share these kind words with us, Wes. It’s wonderful to see that you’ve had such a positive experience. -Shannon, Wells Fargo HL Social

Linda Gerstner1Typically I have a good experience with the other tellers that have helped me in the past. Today I had Ashley and it was very frustrating. She was holding my check and information in her hands as she just chatted and laughed with a customer that had already finished. I was frustrated that I had to wait on a very mindless conversation to be finished before I could be helped.

K A Shauger1Disappointing how bankers sit at their desks with no customers talking to each other. I asked a lady banker for some help with some bonds and she pawned me off to a teller. I won't be conducting any other business there besides a checking and a savings.

Bonnie Binder1How can a working customer bank with you when you are open 9-5. Wells Fargo used to be open later than 5. This is unacceptable.
