The customer service at Virginia credit Union has become quite pitiful. I've had contact with several branch employees who were more than a little bit brood and arrogant. In addition to a complete lack of customer focus and customer service, mobile banking through this financial institution is horrendous. I have also experienced a great deal of difficulty with paying loans and/or credit cards early. Oddly enough it seems as if Virginia credit Union attempts to keep you from paying anything off early. Do yourself a favor and bank elsewhere!

It is an office where the attention is bad to my parents, the adviser who attended them was racist and with a bad attitude I insult them for not speaking English

Just had to go to the drive thru last week. Now, while some of the other reviews are correct concerning the wait time, that's just the reality of how things are. So, pack your patience. But my experience was great. Now, I did have to wait but the teller that waited on me was great. Even a bit entertaining. They have to be stressed out given the situation so I was totally impressed with the upbeat attitude.

I got my first car loan from VACU in 1981. They have consistently low rates and they have always been courteous & professional. In almost 40 years of being a member I have nothing but good experiences that I can recall. I believe one has to be a state employee or have a family member who is already a member to become a member. I would add that their online banking interface has come a long way and is now excellent.

Very disappointed as a new member. You are pushing for everything to be done online, yet you want to put a 2 week hold on checks that we deposited using mobile banking. When we call to ask why, we are told that is in the paperwork that will be mailed to us. However since its pushed to sign up online none of that paperwork has been provided. Terrible customer service and long wait times to try and get a hold of someone to help. All you get from them is "maybe" "might", no commitment or confidence in them. Even when we provided them with what they asked for they refused to help. Megan a manager (refused to provide a last name) was even less help then the person who answered the phone. You have lost a customer!

We recieved the worst service by John Cummings. (I believe that is the last name) My husband has been a member for over a year. However, since we recently married I was added on to the account so that we can have a joint account. Needless, to say John seemed rush up and in a rush to get us out of his office. John, was not rude but not helpful either. I had to ask for the basic things that should have been offerd to a new member, the member ID, about getting the routing and account numbers. Why wasn't this info given to me without me asking. I never received any info on setting up the online account. I never received and folder or packet on what services the bank has to offer nothing that a new member would get! I advised John 2 times that I'm going to switch my payroll check into this account never once did he say I would have a debit card mailed to me. When I ask he tried to print one but mysteriously the system was down. I was told to us come back another day and "see" if its working. I will say John was very detailed has he told my husband and I about the business accounts. However, after such poor service, I left that bank and went to my bank Wells Fargo! I do not advise anyone to bank with this place first impressions are lasting.

Very disappointed with VCU TODAY. My boy's after cutting lawn all morning went to make a deposit but was told to STAND in the carport line!!! Unacceptable!!! Would you have everyone who is making a deposit stand in line??? Don't let me VCU have to withdraw my money. My boy's will be treated with RESPECT. And your attendant was very RUDE to them.
