M’gann M’orz1Just came out of this Bank of America and had to take my check back and reconsider truly opening a business account with them. My husband and I are both 1099 contractors. We get paid by the company we work under with company checks. Because they’re BOA checks often we’ll go to get them cashed instead of depositing them into our account. Usually we’d go to the broad street location but today I decided to go to one closer to our home. Almost immediately it felt as though we were being pressured into opening a bank account all because of an $8 fee they had assumed we wouldn’t want to pay. I only say this because even after being told 3-4 times by the woman who greeted us, Kashmira behind the counter was extremely passive aggressive with her mentioning the $8 fee at least 5-6 times before cashing the check. Then when it came my time to cash my check same deal and then we I decided I didn’t want to open an account she then started saying how she didn’t know if she could cash my check because I go by Dalia and my legal name is Adalia. Though the last names matched she proceeded to try and walk away with my check after I told her twice already I would just take it to another bank and would rather just leave. It took just about 30 mins to have to go through all of this nonsense when normally this is a 5-15min process without the added stress and ridicule. I will not be returning to this location and unless you have an account here I advise the same. I pride myself on having an obscene amount of patience but I was really close to losing my temper had this lady not hand back my check after the 3rd time of asking her to. There should be a bit more consideration to how you all treat people I don’t know what made my husband and I more or less “suspicious” I understand there’s a process but we’ve been doing this for nearly 2 years with the same bank and we just didn’t want to open an account.

Dexter Walker1Very few tellers avaliable. Long line of customers with bank associates walking around. It was not always like this but when they closed the drive thru, this location started spiraling downward. The young lady(Annie) at the Business Clients window ignored the long line of customers until she felt everyone looking at her and asked if anyone was making a Business transaction, which no one was and then left. The line currently (10:02am) has 9 people waiting to be helped by one avaliable cashier. That was down from 11 because two people got tired of waiting and left. Andrew at the front was also of no help. The low rating of this branch is well deserved.

Theresa Moran1No one has answered the phone for 3 days. I tried to schedule an online appointment and the site doesn't work. I've tried dropping in without an appointment in the past and have waited hours to see a customer service representative. So what is a person supposed to do in order to close an accout because I haven't found a way to do this self serve yet?

Zanab Almayah5I had a excellent experience at this Bank of America location. Nicolas Alzamora, ensured that all my questions and concerns were addressed. He exceeded my expectation and provided me a great financial educational experience. Thank you!

Nick Anderson1It's crazy how a bank of this size has no, drive thru option, 1 teller only working at any given time. With all the months fees they charge for just having open accounts they should have an army of employees at every location. I'll be moving all of my accounts soon to our local option.
Response from the ownerWe value your business and are sorry that you were disappointed. We’d like to keep you as a client. Please reach out to a member of our Social Media Client Care team on Twitter at https://twitter.com/BofA_Help or Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BankofAmerica. ^jan

Rich Moncure1Drive in lanes all closed, and several clients were in the inside lobby teller line, served by ONE teller. The wait was very long, and at least 1-2 other banker associates were available to jump in and help out but did not. I confronted the manager (strolling through the office) and expressed that all of us in line were talking openly about the intentional low level of service offered (the teller was fine, by the way, this is NOT about tellers). Poor guy had a near mutiny on him. The sum and substance of my conversation with the banking manager left me with this observation. If your expectation or preference is to have a transaction that requires a teller, you are somewhat no longer welcome at Bank of America Villa Park. You are welcome to sign up for a new loan or make an investment, but the takeaway is that a transaction that serves you, that can possibly be done via technology, should be done that way and the bank is going to go out of its way to make a human connection difficult. Naturally, there is a push by the largest banks to drive the consumer to technology, and out of the branch. It's business, and I get that. But, Bank of America has...in my opinion, taken this to an unprecedented level. It's intentional, calculated, and actually was verbally supported by this manager, and I'm confident he was coached on how to respond to me and he was only doing his job. If YOU want to bank via your phone, online, PC...only,..... you are probably well served at B of A. Their tools are good. IF you have an occasional need or preference to visit a branch, especially this branch at Villa Park in Richmond, you are pretty much not welcome there. This is the direction B of A is headed aggressively.....just know that before you sign up with them.

Yo Yo1Service is bad, they have no value of the customers time at this location, 3 people walking around not doing anything while the line just gets longer....i just want to know if yall are hiring i could stand around and do nothing in the ac all day, i think i could even be great at it. Then i hear a employee as a customer in one of the offices how would you rate your service...ha ha they know which customers to ask and which ones not to....smh i wish you all would value your customer the way you value loan interest.

Liftnd1Awful customer service. Charging $8 to cash a single check and then refused to cash it because the check was written to “Matt” and not “Matthew “ which is on license, with all other parts of last name spelled correctly. I mean really are they trying trying to make life more difficult on top of all this corona stuff going on. Give me a break. Would have talked to manager about my experience with her but she wore no name tag and there was no other placard displaying her name.

Big Slam1How as a company do you close locations and still not have enough at the selected locations to staff properly....wow walk in and 8 people in line and 2 tellers....its crazy that a large company wouldn't value their customer's time to staff properly. Please get it together bank of america......

rob immig1Horrible wait times to simply cash a check. No tellers, and only two behind counter. Find another bank. They are even closing on Saturdays now. Awful.
