  I have been doing business with Vinton Pawn Shop for many years and I have always had good things to say about them but recently I have had an incident that has made me very upset and have no trust for the employees. I made a cash payment and did not get a receipt and was told I never made the payment but I know for a fact I did so somebody pocketed my payment and is now lying about me ever making it. So my advice is make sure you get a receipt for everything you do with Vinton Pawn Shop.

  We are sorry you feel this way Mark. We give a receipt with each payment. When you came you said you were given a receipt and that you would bring it in for proof. Now you are saying that you weren’t given a receipt 🤔. Again we are sorry that you feel this way and we hope that in the future when you deal with another store that you don’t try this with them.   I have always been welcomed as family since I first started coming!! They are amazing and friendly guys! They are great at working with you and are very understanding!! I wouldn't wanna work with any other pawn shop in the roanoke area! Thanks for always being kind and helping me out! I'll be seeing you guys soon.

  Been a customer 4 30 yrs. Always have given me a fair amount 4 whatever I'm pawning @ the time & when I'm buying something they always give me a good discount! Very friendly employees!

  While visiting Roanoke I decided to check out a few pawn shops to look for quality tools. This place has a lot of stuff, but the prices are crazy for used items. This was probably the most expensive pawn shop I've ever been in. They had a well used Harbor Freight engine hoist out front for $35 more than you could buy it new at Harbor Freight. The Snap On stuff was around the same as you'd pay off of the truck and way more than you'd pay on eBay for similar used items. My advice would be to skip this place and check out some of the other shops in the area.

  I truly love everyone here. Ive known them a very long time and they have always had patience and compassion. They are really good people here. Family atmosphere.....love you guys. Always my first choice!!!!

  Prices are high and no negotiation. Just go to the other local pawn shops they like to negotiate with you. Too bad you all lost out on a pretty big sale.

  Sold gold as scrap about 4 weeks ago but being sold out in store now at vast profit, saw 2 pieces in their trays that I know were mine, obviously I was too much of a novice and should've asked for a value before I sold it to them at scrap weight. Of course I have no paperwork to prove this but they do have a copy of my I.D. and my signature from it. What can I do? I needed money urgently to keep my household running as we have had unforseen bills, it destroyed me to have to even sell it but lesson learned, feeling foolish now... but wiser!

  If it’s something that you sold us and you are wanting to buy back come see us, we will sell it to you at a great price far below what the tag price is. We also pawn items if that is something you are wanting to get back. We don’t like to see someone get rid of an item that they are wanting back. Come see us and we will see what we can do.
