  Our small business uses this bank. It's sooooooo nice to speak to people and explain what you need. Also, it's very convenient (ex. you lose your debit card, you go to the branch and they make you a new one, - THE SAME DAY!) We have also gotten referrals from the branch for business.

  This bank charges $7 to cash their own checks, if you can get them to cash it. I stopped in to cash a check written on one of Village Banks accounts, but was forced to wait an unreasonable amount of time for them to contact the individual that wrote the check. I provided 2 ids, my social security number, and a check that had available funds to be covered and yet was still subjected to the embarrassment of waiting and having the check “confirmed.” Not my first bad experience with this institution, but hopefully my last. There are much better and friendlier places to bank.

  I had a great experience working with the team from Village Bank for a recent transaction, in particular- Shannon Shaw, Branch Manager. She was helpful, thorough, responsive, knowledgeable and fully understood my goals. Highly recommend!

  Not as good as they used to be. They changed their hours and never notified the customer via email and require appointments or drive through service. They also stopped having Saturday hours. My wife and I went to close our accounts and knocked on the door and we were greeted by a barking dog that belonged to one of the clerks. Completely unprofessional.

  Mr. DeJesus. We are very sorry to hear that you had an unpleasant experience with us and appreciate you speaking with our Midlothian branch manager about the situation. The decision was made back in March to close our branches on Saturdays in an effort to limit our customers and staff to COVID-19 exposure. We consider the Saturday closures temporary. We are sorry for Nikko's barking which can be a negative consequence of being a pet-friendly organization. Please accept our apologies.

  Lucky for me I am centrally located between 3 different branches and I have always been treated very well by every branch that I happen to visit usually 1-2 times a week. I am very grateful to each and every one for your hospitality. I give you a 5 star rating because you deserve nothing less than a 5!

  My entire family has had accounts at the Village Bank for more than 10 years. We are always given great service and the staff has always been friendly and helpful. Would recommend this bank to anyone in the area!

  I applied for a mortgage at this bank and was given nothing but the run around. Wasted a lot of time waiting for them as they gave me various quotes and no results. Its been well over a month of wasted time and they refuse to answer my emails or call me back. I feel like they discriminated against me because my loan wasn't profitable enough for them. They are very unprofessional and rude.
