  This place is one of the better ampitheaters. Very clean and very secure. Cops roam the parking lot so watch your tailgating. Like all ampitheaters, refreshments will cost an arm and leg. I recommend sneak in a little plastic bottle of something from Tennessee and buy the $6.50 souvenir cup with free refills. Also, if you have lawn tickets, you can upgrade to seats the bday of the show for $10 usually. Ive sat in $50 seats with a $20 lawn ticket and $10 upgrade. Parking ia included in your ticket but there are options fir ridding busses from AJ Gators (free) and oceanfront ( a buck or two)

  Have enjoyed several concerts here! Lawn is not covered but a great spot anyways. Drinks are expensive, like $15-$20 expensive.

  Pros: Wooded Plenty of bathrooms that are decently clean Plenty of alcohol vendors Good sound quality Relaxed atmosphere Some options for dietary restricted patrons Free rental chairs TV’s at concessions show stage Affordable Good seats, even on lawn Easy and free parking They allow patrons to bring in any food as long as it’s in a 1gallon or less ziplock. Cons: Too many cigarettes Not enough food vendors caused very long lines and food shortages Too many cigarettes Not enough drunk driving prevention Too many cigarettes, no seriously everything we brought with us absolutely wreaks of nasty cigarettes and our sinuses are inflamed Sound on lawn is too quiet so we could hear people around us even when they weren’t loud, let alone the drunken ones that were Suggestions: Create a smoking area and make all other areas non smoking, you could even charge smokers for a “Smokers Pass” and make a profit. Get more food vendors

  i have lived in virginia beach for 30 years. i have only been to the ampitheater 3 times. the first time was for nickelback. it was amazing. the concessions were way to expensive, the concert should have been free for what the drinks cost. i went to see nickelback again a year later. we got lawn seats this time. i spent the majority of the concert staring the back of some drunk assholes head. i arrived early to the concert got the early check in that came with the groupon. got a spot center stage all the way in the front next to the cable. these guys came up got in front of my family and i and stood there for the whole concert. even after asking them to move. there was no room for them to sit we were in all the way up front. saturday night april 27th i went to see stix. i got seated tickets this time. i have to say i was so disappointed. the people 2 rows up stood for the whole concert. one family brought their infant son with them ( no ear plugs at all) why would you even let someone into the concert with little kids? i dont think i will ever go to another concert here again. i work 7 days a week i had to take time off to go to the concert and stare at the back of someones head.

  Cool decent sized venue that I visited to see Dave Matthews Band. I had to wait 45 minutes after the show started to get in the venue.... Other then that the food wasn't too pricy and the staff were friendly.

  funny how my son got charged for 2 beers at last night concert! concert was cancelled due to weather and he never entered the gate! someone has a good thing going on, check your bank accounts!

  Saw Springsteen there on Labor Day '16. The lawn had a pretty good view of the stage, and the facilities were clean. Overall good place to see a show.

  My uncle and I came to this Amphitheater to watch REO Speedwagon and Chicago perform. My uncle needed handicap parking and accommodations due to a recent surgery, and the workers were so helpful! This place was so comfortable and had plenty of food and beverage options.
