  I very highly recommend Lauren Thurman and the University Lending Group. I needed to buy my new house very quickly and they went out of their way to help make it happen. They facilitated the whole buying process in a way that made it easy for us. My realtor remarked that such a quick buy would not have been possible with any other lending company. In addition, they were kind, patient and professional in all of their dealings with me. Definitely the best option by far in Tallahassee.

  My experience was not pleasant. I was told everything was good and even signed a contract with a locked rate. Then, 2 weeks later and (1 day after the contingency grace period ended), I was told that they were unable to finance me!! 😳 They had all my information for 2(months) plus another 2 weeks after signing a contract with University Lending to verify all was good with underwriting.. yet dropped the ball in the 9th inning. I went to Ameris Bank and had another loan secured (with a better rate and terms) within 24 hours thanks to Layna Kirkham.

  I have never experienced a more unprofessional interaction. I was recommended university by my real estate agent and the seller's agent. I called a loan officer and we began discussing my loan, when I asked him if he could match the rate given to me by an out of town agent apparently that was infuriating to him. He sent a note to the seller's agent that I had already signed a loan with another agent (even though that was an outright lie) in an attempt to tank the transaction in a way I would even consider contractual interference. I am shocked by how unprofessional this loan officer was and would never recommend this group to anyone. Edit: I did speak to the branch manager who was very kind and apologetic and told me it would be handled internally. So I would like to believe it was just one rogue unprofessional agent.

  We just purchased our first home and it was such a positive experience working with Rhonda Koenders! She helped us through every step of the process, answered all of our questions, and was so quick to respond - which was really wonderful considering the current housing market when we wanted to make an offer on our home. We are so grateful for her help!

  A big shout out to Lauren Thurman! She is amazing, efficient and personable. Lauren has excellent communication skills and responded promptly via telephone and emails with any questions I had. I highly recommend her to anyone purchasing or refinancing a home. I truly cannot say enough positive things about her. Thanks Lauren for making the entire process so easy!

  Buying a home can be very stressful, with many tasks going on all at the same time. Lauren was beyond amazing and provided us with constant contact and guidance, every step of the way. I don't know if I would have survived the process without her! I would use them again and again- hands down! My only concern if you are going to use them, is be aware that they may sell your mortgage quickly. That didn't bother us though. They were upfront and transparent about it being a possibility, and we discussed our options and preferences on where we may be sold to. They honored our request, so 5 stars!

  Can't recommend them highly enough. Lauren was incredibly knowledgeable about the entire process, always responsive, and friendly. Not to mention they made the application process very easy compared with other lenders that I dealt with.

  Lauren Thurman was great!!! She did very well handling 2 very analytical people throughout the process. I will be recommending my friends and family to call them before they decide on anyone else. If you want a good mortgage rate, no hidden fees and great customer service this is the company to go with!!!

  Once again Lauren Thurman has guided me through a home purchase that could not have gone more smoothly. This one being a bit more complicated than the last in regards to the whole purchase, she still made me comfortable throughout the 1.5 month process (could've been shorter with her diligent work ethic, but home needed repairs). She is awesome, so one can only assume University Lending is as well for employing this awesome Lady!
