UARK Federal Credit Union Reviews

Jake5I have always banked with UARK FCU and I have been taken care of on countless occasions,. The employees have always done an exceptional job with customer service. I am not really the type to write reviews but Paisley at the Van Asche location has exceeded the high standard set there and taken care of me throughout the years on multiple occasions. She is a STAPLE employee with UARK and she has made my experience with UARK a memorable one. I love this local bank and the people in it.

Brian Foster1Was charged multiple over draft charges for a bill after it was rejected **even though funds where in account**! After rejecting the bill twice, it tried to come through later in the month. And I was charged 2 over draft fees for the ttransaction. After admitting they did not know what why it was rejected in the first place they then claimed that my bill never tried to come thru in the first place even the I could show them from the phone company when it tried to go through. Instead of refunded the fees they claimed it was not their error so they could not refund the fees. This is not the first time I got the run around on fees from them. They will hold your ACH transactions for a full week. All the while any debit card transaction comes out immediately. So when you spend 0.04 more than you should via debit card thats it when they will try and process your ACH transaction to get you with a fee. Very shady business. Every time I have confronted them about it it is somehow not their fault or there is nothing they can do. Would not trust these people with my money ever again. If you do be aware they will try around every turn to take it from you.

Trista Nelson1I had 3 overdrafts in the last week accidentally on my account. This bank will not notify you until 15 days after you have overdrafted the first time and will not help you out when you finally realize it on your own. If you are going to go with this bank which I would not recommend make sure that you set up for yourself the notifications on the online banking to tell you when you have overdrafted. No one warned me about this. I feel like this is something that they should tell you to do when you set up your account and not just hand you the paperwork and when you are neck deep and overdraft fees tell you that it was in the paperwork.

Jack Dennis4UARK Federal Credit Union has some of the most friendly people in the banking business. They try really hard and are incredibly efficient. The reason I cannot give 5-stars is the lack of mobile check deposit and no Apple Pay. Additionally, I had a problem with my card this weekend (declined due to a suspicious transaction which I did indeed make the purchase) and don't get me wrong, I love being able to have fraud protection, but their website does not give clear instructions on who to call after banking hours if your card is shut off. Other then that, they are great!

Chad Reichel1While living in Arkansas for half a year I made the unfortunate mistake of going through UARK to purchase my vehicle out of its lease. This has got to be one of the most inconvenient institutions I have ever had to deal with. The process for getting my loan was very smooth. After processing the loan, the bank asked me to provide the title to my vehicle, which I did in person once I received it from Kia. After about two months I get a call from a supervisor stating that they needed my title - which I thought was very odd considering I had already dropped it off in person. After they investigated they concluded that it had been mailed back to me because the bank wasn't listed on the title as lienholder, something Kia failed to do. However, the title was lost in the mail and never made it back to me. It took me 8 MONTHS to get a duplicate title processed. To add insult to injury, their online banking system may as well be nonexistent. It is USELESS past checking your balance - and that's on the slim chance you are even able to log in. And God forbid you forget your PIN! Good luck trying to get it reset. Their system that is supposed to send you a reset code doesn't work. You have to call the bank to get them to reset it - and good luck talking to a live person without having to wait for a callback because they are at all times "experiencing high call volumes".

Alex Wegner1My worst experience with any bank was with UARK Federal Credit Union. I tried to contact the bank because it seemed like things didn't add up in the loan process. I called up and talked to who I assume was the receptionist. She was not very professional and did not seem to know how to answer my questions. I brushed it off as she could have been new there or very busy. I was then transferred to a loan officer that clearly had no interest in helping me. I offered very simple and reasonable solutions to help the situation, but I was given the usual "sorry we can't do that." I was then greeted by her boss. Mind you, I am simply trying to help a friend that has requested I call because she didn't know much about finance and wasn't sure of the next steps she needed to take. The boss' first words were "we can't help you, goodbye." There was no introducing herself and no professionalism. I then stated my goal and that I was simply trying to find a solution for this loan because things didn't seem right. She then told me "no, goodbye" and hung up. I have had experience with Signature Bank, First National Bank, Bank of the Ozarks (Bank OZK), IberiaBank, Simmons Bank, Centennial Bank, First Security Bank and Arvest. I have never experienced anything like this at all the banks I've worked with. I would not recommend banking with UARK Federal Credit Union.

Zak T5Good people, good experience, vastly superior policies to a traditional bank. Dumping my bank for a credit union was the best thing I've ever done.
