TwinStar Credit Union Wilsonville Reviews

Margie Humphrey1Generally I love credit unions and appreciate that all credit unions I've been to allow ATM withdrawal without charging fees for those who are part of the credit union network. I recently discovered Twin Star CU in Wilsonville and was SHOCKED that they charge for ATM withdrawals. Even if they are part of the credit union co-op they charge other credit union members for use of their ATM....first credit union I've EVER come across who does that. Very disappointed and will never go there again. Choose a different credit union.

Shiloh Steinhebel4The ONLY credit union around this area that allowed me to withdraw my tax return. Granted it wasn't the full amount but it was an amount larger by what they normally state their daily maximum is. Teller was courteous and helpful. And yes they are a part of the credit union co-op. Their ATM charges fees since it's TwinStar's ATM, not the credit union I bank through. Notified my credit union and they reversed the fee.

Hailey Berman5They are a part of the co-op network. I have been inside multiple times to make withdrawals and deposits from another credit union (in Kansas) and was never charged a fee. After doing that for several months I finally opened up an account with them. Everyone there is just so friendly and helpful! I have not used their ATM, so I cannot speak to that.

Elizabeth Crouch3They are not part of the shared branching co-op as of July 9th or something like that. I found out 2 weeks after they stopped. I use their mobile app for online banking and didn't see any messages or notices. Kind of inconvenient now that I have to drive to Vancouver, WA or Wilsonville, OR to deposit my rent money. I have 3 little kids and found it convenient to stop by a shared branch on my lunch break on my own vs. now hauling my clan with me. I am considering just opening an account with a local credit union nearby to keep the same convenience.
Response from the ownerHi Elizabeth, We know that Shared Branching is a valuable service to many people. We sent and published a variety of information regarding our exit from Shared Branching. We’re sorry that it didn’t get to you. For future messaging of this kind, where would be the best place to reach you? Your opinion is valuable to us. Also, we have an article on our website with some additional resources available for our Shared Branching members. It details our Remote Deposit Capture service, which might be of use to you for depositing funds (from a check) into your account via our mobile banking app. The article is located here: https://www.twinstarcu.com/content/shared-branch-services-ended-july-7-2018 Would you like someone to reach out to you about your experience?

KristiAnn Peterson2This is the only bank, and I'm calling them a bank and not a credit union because of their fees and lack of integrity, that I has ever made me so stressed so often. Between holding funds, taking things out and then putting them back in, only to take them out later and then charge a $30 fee because it overdrafts your account, and the hoops they make you jump through just to make payments, this is by far the worst bank I've been to. No one should need to watch their balance this closely. I check the details of our account 6-7 times a day to see any pending transactions and balance and somehow we are still constantly screwed by this establishment. We will be taking our business elsewhere, and I suggest anyone that wants to keep their money do the same.

Mrs. Cabrera1Very poor communication skills. They recently stopped shared branching and they only started letting people know 1.5 months ago so for people that only go to this bank to pay their mortgage ONCE a month would have only seen it ONCE IF they were fortunate enough to see it posted. They should have said something to any and all people that came in that paid their mortgage/bills to anther bank that entire month and a half instead of assuming everyone would know or see it posted. They also said this was emailed but how could they have emailed it if we are not memebers of twinstar? Literally wasted 1.5 hours of my day in traffic, with a fever, no AC in this summer heat, with a 4 week old baby & 5 year old. Would’ve been nice to save a trip and time if these guys would’ve communicated better!

Shalimar Henderson5I have been a member for over 10 years and love TwinStar. I was so happy to find a branch in Wilsonville when I moved to Oregon. It's not the most convenient but I am willing to make the drive to stay a member.

Shaundra Cantelon1No more shared branching. Limited ATM withdrawals if you bank with a different credit union. They won’t do money orders if you don’t have an account with them. Terrible.

Daniel McKay1Beware: FIRST Credit Union I've been to that charged me, a member of another credit union, ATM Fees (2.50 for Withdrawal and 3.00 for Deposit). Was shocked, they are NOT part of the CO-OP network.

Tyler Snider1One of the worst organizations Ive ever had to work with. My wife and I took out a $14.5k loan for a travel trailer. 5 months later, we decide to pay it off in full. The hoops that twinstar made us jump through just to pay it off was asinine. Will never work with them ever again.
