  I’ve worked with Portia for 3 tax years. I no longer live in Minnesota, so when I searched for a MN tax consultant, my minimum requirement was that the consultant be an IRS Enrolled Agent. Lucky me, Portia agreed to take me on as a client. She is extremely knowledgeable, effective, accurate – and speedy. I’m a guardian for my sister who may have a bit of difficulty sitting through a planning meeting and tracking all aspects of a financial planning conversation, but is completely able to process a summary of the meeting and the reasons for proceeding with a particular plan. Last March, in our telephone meeting about Sis’s 2019 taxes, Portia pointed out some missed opportunities that could have made a difference for my sister’s finances. After that, I decided to schedule a year-end 2020 tax planning meeting with Portia and Sis’s financial planner. Twin Cities Tax has set up a seamless user-friendly platform for remote meetings that include two or more participants. The year-end 2020 tax planning meeting with Portia, Sis’s financial planner and me was a total success. We were able to: consider all aspects of Sis’s circumstances & finances; discuss the tax ramifications of several different options; create a plan for year-end financial moves that would deliver the “best overall solutions” for Sis in her current and future life; and create a basic on-going plan for the 2021 tax year. Since day #1 Portia has been a god-send for Sis, her family and me as Sis’s guardian. If I still lived in Minnesota, Portia would be my go-to for taxes. She is a fountain of knowledge about taxes and much, much more. As a result of information Portia has shared with me, we have made tax-related changes as well as “life-related” changes that have improved Sis’s life. I am forever grateful to Portia for her service to my family – and for helping me to do a better job as a legal guardian.
