  I was completely embarrassed in front of a room full of customers when I was told my ring was iron. The very next pawn shop I went to verified it to be 18 karat gold and bought it for scrap value.pretty pitiful

  We regret that you felt embarrassment when presented with the fact that the ring you wanted to sell was not gold. We have absolutely no reason or motive to relay such information to you other than the fact that we do not purchase non-gold items other than sterling silver. The employee who waited on you has seen dozens of rings just like or very similar to the one you presented. That is why initially he did not even have to test it. All of the fake rings that we have seen are marked 18kt which means nothing. It is easy to purchase a tool that will mark the inside of the ring shank to be whatever karat you want it to be. Just to confirm his suspicions the employee also analyzed your ring on one of our six X-Ray machines and the results confirmed that the ring had no gold content. You can question our personal representation of the gold content of the ring but the human error factor is removed once we use one of our X-Ray machines to determine what elements are present in a sample. We even keep a box on one of the front counters with non- gold rings like the one you brought in warning customers to not purchase the rings. The scammers who sell the rings normally hang out in casino parking lots. They will approach customers entering or exiting the casino with a hard luck story that they are desperate for money. The victims are offered what is represented to be an 18kt chain or ring at what would be a ridiculously low price if the jewelry was genuine. The greed factor sets the trap and it works almost every time for the scammers with the victim purchasing a worthless piece of jewelry. We have been the bearer of bad news to dozens of people who have been scammed with rings just like yours. If in fact you did sell the ring to a pawn shop as being 18kt, consider yourself very fortunate that they did not have the experience, knowledge and equipment to know that the ring was not as represented by the 18kt stamped in the shank. But the unfortunate part of the equation is that the ring will probably be resold to an innocent, unsuspecting retail customer.

  Tulsa Gold & Gems is a awesome place I brought my old rings in and got a price. I thought well let me go Down the street to silver dollar Pawn and see if I can get more somewhere else. They offered me $135 less than Tulsa Gold so needless to say I went back to Tulsa Gold and it was the best choice I could of made. Tulsa Gold &Gem is the place to go...make sure you see Betty.

  Drove all the way across town because I had heard this was the most reputable jewelry buying co. I was impressed with the helpful and friendly security guard from the start. Betty that was my appraiser explained the types of materials I brought in clearly and theit worth. I was pleased with the outcome, and will definitely return if the opportunity arises.

  I was a bit intimidated at the prospect of sorting through a life time of old jewelry but the people at Tulsa Gold and Gems made it very easy to turn things I have not worn in years into cash.

  This was my 3rd or 4th time at this location and I must say: Every time has been a great experience! My visit is usually quick and it feels super safe at this location from the front door, to the top floor of the building. The last 2 times I was here, Ryan was very friendly and he was informative of what I was bringing- as I had no idea. I would definitely recommend this location to everybody who is wanting to sell their old gold!

  I went to Tulsa Gold and Gem looking to have my wifes wedding ring repaired (lost a diamond)although they do not offer this service they guided us to Beverly Jewelry in Sapulpa. WOW only shop local both of these businesses offered great and Honest service.Thanks

  Ryan was so helpful today. I had gone through so much old jewelry and trinkets from years and years. I brought it all in and the patients Ryan showed me was so awesome. He tested and sorted it all and I did come out with a few items that were of value. It was a super nice location and I did not feel uncomfortable at all. Thank you so much.

  Friendly, fair and efficient. Personally taken care of by Margarita, but others checked on me to make sure I was being helped. Masks, gloves and hand sanitizer in place and used for safety. I’ll go back and have already told others to go there. Thank you.

  I normally don't leave reviews, but I feel like maybe I can save someone a trip to Tulsa Gold and Gems. I drove 2 hours to sell a diamond wedding ring on Saturday 10-7-17. Everyone there was really polite and it was a clean place, but they will only give you about 10% of what your diamond is worth. Don't expect anything more.

  Chelsey, I am sorry that you made such a long drive to sell your ring but there must have been something very positive about our company that brought you to our front door. Every day of the week we have to be the bad guys and reveal the truth by telling people what the hard cash value of their jewelry really is. I’m sure that when you purchased your ring you were told what a wonderful deal you were getting and I am sure you have an appraisal indicating that the ring has a retail value far in excess of what you paid. The retail price paid for a piece of jewelry or what an inflated appraisal says it is worth has absolutely nothing to do with what the true cash value is in the real world. You should be leaving a bad review for the person who sold you the ring, not us. We deal in facts, not fiction. For over 35 years we have been buying and selling diamonds worldwide and we can pinpoint the wholesale value of a diamond within one or two percent of what it will bring on the wholesale market. And yes, the retail markup on a diamond can run from 3 to 10 times or more of what the retail jeweler actually pays for it. Many times finding out what the real facts are can be very disappointing but we can only present the truth and have built our business on being fair and honest. So, hopefully you have gained some insight into what the true relationship is between retail pricing and wholesale cash value.
