SEAN M1Bank employees are always polite and kind. However, the banking experience is awful and every time I go to a different branch they either can't process my check or don't know how it works. I have to cash then deposit my check which is ALWAYS an issue. They are constantly hiring and have high turnover which makes this an ongoing problem. Cannot stress enough that employees are kind and my issues are not necessarily their fault. I'm only a customer because my employer banks here. It seems extremely redundant to have to cash a check from the issuing bank only to deposit the cash into my account for it to go through immediately.

Addiel Gonzalez1If you choose to go with Trustco Bank I suggest you do not go to this branch. Went to open a business account on a Friday, somehow didn't opened till Monday and I almost believe that they finish opening it because I went to ask about it. I did deposit a couple of checks that same Friday (11/09/2018) which have been a nightmare. I have made a couple of trips to the bank to check on my account and was told by Brandy Jinx on (11/14/2018) that my check would clear by Friday (11/23/2018). I went to the bank to ask why the money had no cleared. Mrs. Jinx proceeded to tell me that that is not what she had told me, instead, she said it would be Monday because of the holidays. Nothing I love more then a manager lying to my face about my account and the status of my money. Not only that, but I have the pleasure of looking like a fool in front of my wife and all the plans and arrangements I made days before go to waste. I know people make mistakes, just own up to them, it would have been fine.

Antonio Combs1Terrible customer service and I opened a account 4/27 and a savings account ... I have not gotten my card yet I got a letter in the mail. I was charged $20 for transfers on a savings account.... I never used my account and my card never came they said get $100 if you use your card 10 times within 45 days I’m sure they are waiting 45 days to send me my card ! And now I’m being charged $20 for a account I never used also my business account I put in a large amount of cash they said it’s there then charged me $30 overdraft saying the money didn’t clear yet and they can’t give it back unlit August

Daisy M1OMG...don't open ANY type of account with TRUSTCO BANK in Altamonte Springs, FL OR ANY other branch! They are horrible about letting you have access to your money within 24 hours AFTER you deposit it the business day BEFORE!!!! I also have my HSA account, which am ON TOP OF THE CHECKING ACCOUNT ISSUES, I can barely use the HSA debit card because it won't allow it, plus it sends me fraud alert texts AND I'M THE ACCOUNT HOLDER!!!! How STUPID IS THIS BANK!!!

Mike Smith2I have had many years of experience dealing with banks, nationally and internationally. I have been banking with one of the major banks and have been for many years. Like many others, my wife and I were looking for a smaller bank, one here in Florida whereas we could establish a more personable relationship. We felt good on the first day, at Trustco, our experience in meeting Jose the manager and his assistant Francis who opened our accounts for us. A business, personal checking and savings account. Everything seemed to be okay. We are getting ready to go on the road for the next several months in our RV and we wanted everything organized before we leave. My wife has a small sole proprietorship business and we made it very clear that our primary interest was opening our business account and being able to do our banking online, with the ability to move funds from our business account to our personal account. You would think this was an easy enough task for most banks. Not this bank. This has been the worst bank that we have ever experienced. We went home and for the next three days we tried getting online, without success. We found out that we had to sign more papers at the bank. We could not simply do it online. Then about a week later we found out that I could not sign on my wifes business account. So we said no problem, just take me off the signature list. at the same time, we were also told that we could not transfer money from our business account to our personal account until we had been with the bank 6 months. Wow! figure that out! Then a few days later we were told that having our business registered on SunBiz, (which is an official State of Florida listing) and having a EIN number was not enough (it is for every other bank). After telling us in the begining everything was fine, they wanted a certified copy of our business listing from Sunbiz. That can take a couple of weeks, getting it from the State of Florida. So after 2 weeks our business account never got opened, although we were making deposits. This bank has wasted 2 weeks of our time. The manager does not return calls as promised, he is arrogant and not helpful, and his assistants are very inefficient and obviously lack the knowledge to properly open a bank account I would not reccomend this bank under any circumstance. We closed our accounts. That was a good experience. We did find a bank that we really like. If you want the smaller bank experience, I highly reccomend 1 First Florida Bank. It has everything that we were looking for and more, like intelligent and friendly staff. We have our business account. We can do online banking. We can transfer money to any account. It works just the way you would expect a bank to work.
