  This Bank is incompetent and has no accountability. BB&T and SunTrust have their wires crossed and are totally unprepared for their merger. We are randomly being debited for a “loan payment” on a loan that was paid off in full over a year ago out of nowhere. No one at Truist can explain why or make a legitimate effort to help find out what’s going on. We visited the branch after getting nowhere through hours of phone service reps. The VP at the bank, Alan L., was friendly enough in person and said he would help, yet here we are 3 weeks later and he’s done absolutely nothing. Won’t return our calls or emails. A bank that can’t accurately keep accounts, recognize their mistakes, or explain why money is randomly being debited without client authorization doesn’t deserve anyone’s trust. Retail banking is a commodity, use one of the other dozens of banks in buckhead.

  The branch manager was great. The other staff could use some training with customer service. I should be treated and greeted equally just as everyone else walking into the branch.

  Did a small transaction w/ them due to a car dealership having a business account with them my experience was atrocious. I had to call this company over 10 plus times and no one answered.......I mean no one. The call was "VERY IMPORTANT" to verify funds for an ordered vehicle...............even had my credit union calling as well!!! I'll never do business with them and I'm not a regular member of Truist bank at all. Thank you for showing me why, I should remain, "NOT BEING" one!

  Awful customer service. Couldn't handle a cashiers check from my own account at Truist. Made me visit three different branches in the rain on a Saturday.

  This location is unhelpful I don’t know why I keep stopping here and I believe it’s biased against black folks. Yeah I said it. If I have power of attorney and several other documents to cash a check of an incapacitated individual written from suntrust and I also bank with suntrust why couldn’t this location cash my third party check but another location cashed it. I needed verification that I bank with suntrust and they told me “we don’t do that” you can do whatever you want just not for me I guess.

  I went into the Buckhead branch to address a matter and while waiting for a personal banker, i asked the branch manager how could i avoid the high bank fees. The branch manager said that the fees could be avoided by having a suntrust credit card. I then spoke to the personal banker and once the personal banker took care of what i really came in for, she then asked if i would like to speak about the credit card and i told her since i was on my lunch break to just email me the info and i would go over to decide if i would like to apply. The personal banker then told me that she would be calling me for a code that would come to my phone via text. I didn't think anything of it when she said that, she called within 5 min and i read her the code. I thought that this was some type of safety process before they sent you the credit card info. After i read the personal banker the code she said thank you and we hung up. The next day i got a notification from experian that my credit was ran by Suntrust! I DID NOT authorize for anyone at Suntrust to run my credit! I immediately emailed the personal banker that i dealt with once i was notified by experian and after 36 hours i still didn't get a response. I called to speak to the branch manager and was told that i would get a call back the next day and here it is 3pm, almost the close of business for the bank and i have yet to get a phone call. It is illegal to run credit without approval!!! I want this inquiry removed or i will be taking legal action!!!

  My husband and I sat in the waiting room for over an hour waiting for a banker who told us she would be about 45 minutes. After patiently waiting (1 hours and 25 minutes) another banker comes out and tells us that we waited for no reason and that we’ll have to make an appointment with the original banker too come back to open a simple joint account. I am beyond frustrated and will never go to that bank again. Most importantly, it’s not that hard to come out and say, “hey, i won’t have time today. Can we set up an appointment?” Definitely would’ve saved us an hour and a half.

  No service to speak of. it feels that SunTrust (Truist) has completely disappeared from the banking scene over the last 9 to 10 months. It is impossible to reach any customer support person. It seems much time is spent on trying not to help. Why?

  I had a great experience from the time I entered the branch. The branch manager, Alan Ladd, took care of my personal transactions in a quick, professional and efficient way. Kudos to the rest of the staff for their friendly and curteous manner.

  Have had many mortgages over the past 30 years, but have never had a worse experience than with our mortgage through SunTrust Mortgage. This was a “jumbo” loan and was implemented through a loan officer with whom has done almost all of our mortgages, but SunTrust’s service was absolutely horrific.
