Leon Ives5We have been using BB&T for 11 years and their services and representatives are all excellent. Not just locally, but worldwide. When we first moved to Raleigh, I opened various personal and (small) business accounts at the Cleveland Branch (42/40). Over the years I have found everyone to be helpful. No matter where I am. They go out of their way to accommodate my wife and I. Very friendly. I do understand there are security concerns, so I am not annoyed when they have to be a little thorough and detailed...to protect me. The online banking is very simple and user friendly. I travel overseas a lot and they manage to keep up with that. Several times my wife or I I received a phone call from their fraud department checking up on my out-of-state and foreign transactions. We ultimately did an auto loan. Yes, they are detailed, but BB&T is known for minimizing bad loans that default. Hurting all of us.

Jose Sanchez1I have been a customer at this bank for 20 years and it’s always been great except when I go to this back. I’m always treated disrespectfully here and they take forever to check my account and profile, but when a white person is doing a transaction beside me they are always treated better and taken care of faster than me.

TaNessa Roberts1I just hate this bank in general. ATMS are always down. I wanted to withdraw money from my account through the window because I was 9 months pregnant and didn't wanna go inside but was told No they can't do that through the window. After saying I hate this bank, the atm is always down, transactions takes days to come out of your account. They charge you 4 dollars for using any other atm but theirs. You get charged for just about anything. I absolutely hate this bank. . After saying all of this they agreed to let me do a withdraw through the window. The people are nice but the way the bank runs things aren't costumer friendly.

Jude Diamond-Brooks1I HATE SOOOO many things about BB&T ... where to start? (thank goodness there are other banking-options)! Our CPA (look put for his review soon!) recommended that we open a BB&T biz acct with a personal acct attached (he and this branch belong to a 'business group' and he gained about $125 for the referral! Silly us!) MAIN ISSUE: If debits are pending (i.e., the transaction hasn't even gone through yet, and might not go through!) and IF this pending transaction made you overdrawn (if it did go through), you are charged $36 per pending transaction ... NOT because they kindly paid it and honored the amount but because IF it processed, in theory it might make you overdrawn!!! FIRSTLY: The website (and I used to sell websites and software) is antiquated, basic and unfriendly. As is the mobile app .... I was prompted to post this review because I just called THREE times to figure out where to do the online check deposits on the app ... I'm currently calling for the FOURTH time and am onto Tech support as I type this ... way over an hour to figure out an app (really!) ... and I am tech savvy. SECONDLY: Staff (some) at this branch are also unfriendly. THIRDLY: Even though our personal and biz accts were connected, bb&t would not automatically transfer when funds were low, from one acct to the other (Chase does this ... and we never paid them overdraft fees, ever, but they're not in NC) ... with BB&T, even tho we had thousands in a linked acct they charged us $36 for being "overdrawn"! FOURTH: We're paying a $49.50 MONTHLY fee for our biz acct which is currently only being used for about 2 debits a month right now ... low and behold, this easily makes you overdrawn when you're not expecting it and we're charged $36 each time. Even the personal acct has monthly service fees attached so we're probably paying $70+ a month FOR WHAT?!? FIFTH: My husband worked at a company about a quarter of a mile away & when depositing his paycheck was told it'd be put on a 'hold' for SEVEN DAYS (I kid you not) ... after complaining this was reduced to 2 days. However, 2wks later at the Vandora Springs branch there was no hold. I KNOW this was because when we set up our biz acct and told the banker our plans, it was later realized by this branch that we didn't deposit the funds from a house-flip with BB&T (due to all of the above issues + more, we used our B of A acct instead - I know it upset a certain 'someone' so they retaliated!) SIXTH: You can set a wire-transfer service up online but when you go to cancel the service you signed up for, you have to call them, then low and behold, they can't find your account even with your Social, phone number, name etc., so guess what, you forget to call back and they charge you the $15 monthly fee again! SEVENTH: I could go on and on, but won't .... there is NOTHING about BB&T I would recommend to anyone. Period! We'll be setting up the biz account (when we're back doing business) with B of A.

Summer Hamrick1It pains us to go to this BB&T every month, I don’t think there is another one around. The teller K Johnson has the worse attitude! It’s always an ordeal to make a transaction.
