Kendra Jones1Horrible customer service from Shawn. I deposited a check into my account and I usually don’t use it. It was actually overdrawn. So I figured I should put money into it. He tells me that it won’t be available until Dec 22nd. I didn’t know I could say no thanks and get it and bank elsewhere. Naive I guess. So I just got my slip and left. I got home upset and decided to call. Shawn was not helpful and rather rude. He admitted he didn’t tell me I could take my check back, but now it’s too late and there was absolutely nothing I could do to get my money earlier because my account was overdrawn. (Like $20 because of a bank fee) Had no understanding or helpfulness about him. Just o well! I expected more quality service or even an apology for not giving you all your options. Guess I will be closing my account on the 22nd when I finally get MY money and closing my husbands saving and business accounts as well.

Rafi John1Worst bank ever to deal with. I have my mortgage with it and I tried many times to refinance it, but they have very bad communication don’t reply to email or to call back. I’ve been trying over than 2 months and no result. Stay away of it.

Brian Howard1This bank is trash, the service is trash, their policies are trash. I deposited two checks that were verified as paid, yet they will not release my money. It's been almost 3 weeks at this point. The fraud dept locked me out of my account, I can't call in (locked me out through my ssn), then I go to the bank and they tell me they don't see any problems with my account. While there, I verified through my other bank that the checks were paid. They basically said so what, we'll release it when we feel like it, because the fraud dept doesn't give a damn about verification.

Nike Aina1I cannot imagine a financial institution providing a worse experience than I have had at BB&T. I sense that this institution, or perhaps just this location is racist. On one occasion I took a check in and they told me it would have a 7 day hold, so I went and got a cashiers check instead. BB&T again told me that my CASHIER’S CHECK will have a 7 day hold for fear of fraud. They actually told me this. I guess I looked fraudulent to them. I asked the manager to contact the issuing bank to confirm its authenticity and provided the name of the employee who assisted me with the production of the cashier’s check. The BB&T manager claimed she would contact that bank, but never did. I guess she didn’t believe me. On another occasion, a teller told me he thought I had forged the check I was depositing. He later apologized after I formally complained. I have had more bad experiences here than I can describe in the context of a google review. Considering how I have seen them treat other customers, I can only conclude that I was different and therefore treated disrespectfully. No other explanation seems logical. I made a formal complaint but they were unresponsive. A district manager admitted that the treatment I received was wrong and said he would get back to me within 48 hours. He didn’t call back for weeks, until I again contacted the bank. If you are black, you may want to reconsider using this bank or this branch. #bbt #racistbank
