I came in and the banker said she could only help me until loan admin came on the phone as she had been on hold for a while- I’m a long time customer w multiple accts- and it still didn’t matter. No urgency , no help , someone will eventually call me back? This is so unlike them really but this service today let me know I will not continue banking with them. Why bank with someone who doesn’t even care when u have an issue - totally disappointed - not sure if the name change had something to do w the service but I will take my business else where

Continual poor experiences at this branch, but extremely long waits and not of knowledge among reps. Waited over 30 minutes for a cashiers check that I had to correct the employee on numerous times. Will be changing banks.

I went into the BB&T branch in North Main in Summerville, SC to get information about refinancing my home loan (which is currently held by BB&T). There were no customers at the time, and I met Mitchell Burns at the counter. He informed me that they don't have anyone available to provide that service in that branch, but he could set my account up to be contacted by someone who could go over the options with me and it would be a couple of days before I heard from them. It has been nearly a week with no response. We are now looking at other options. In addition, when I told Mitchell that we were out looking at a new car he explained they have a car financing option starting at 1.4%. That sounded great! Later that day when we picked a car out, we called him back to do the financing through him. We attempted to reach both his direct line AND the bank's main line over the next thirty minutes while waiting in the dealer's office. Our calls were never answered. After no response, we had to give the go ahead for the dealership to run our options for us. We are now looking at other options to get our mortgage's refinancing done due to this poor experience. The last thing we want to do is start the refinancing process with a company that is going to be difficult to communicate with. I eventually spoke to Mitchell later and he was apologetic. I also wanted to say that he was polite throughout the whole experience. I highly suspect Mitchell (and most likely the other staff) WANT to provide good customer service. I want to be clear that I am not blaming Mitchell or the staff at this particular branch, but something has gone wrong. As an outsider looking in, it would seem that their branch may be understaffed. Hopefully this can be addressed. Thank you, Mitchell, for at least trying. But at this point my confidence is a bit shaken and I'm going to have to look into other options.

They are very disfunctional when it comes to business. They will tell you one thing then when its time to actually discuss a situation. They promised or told you before hand now you have to talk to a million other people that didn't even know what was going on in the first place. They be adding on extra fees an will have you paying way more then what was promised. Smh they are ridiculous an if I was you I wouldn't waste my time. Sounds like more money hungry to me. And the cars look good but all I know is I had mine for 3mths an it been too the shop 4 times in between Hmm! Never Again😡

I have banked with BB&T for several years not necessarily by choice, but because of the incentives offered through my employer. Once my wife and I decided to build our first home we discovered BB&T was a preferred lender with this particular builder. Yet again, due to incentives my wife and I reluctantly decided to use them for our mortgage. We have been in constant contact and communication with the institution as to ensure we will have no delays at closing. With the closing date on a Wednesday, we were notified Sunday night via email that we would not be closing on time due to a clerical error. We understand mistakes happen, however, the lack of communication and professionalism from the loan officers and underwriters is appalling. Their knowledge of these mistakes were kept from us as long as possible to either avoid the awkward unveiling of their error, or the lack of care for our time and interests. I assume the latter. With contracted deliveries and services scheduled days following the closing along with scheduled time off and rearranged work schedules we were fully prepared to close on time. The inconvenience of rescheduling all of these things could have been lessened if it weren’t for BB&T’s sheer disregard for our time. The individuals handling these loans have 10+ years experience with the company and the fact that we constantly have to reach out to their team first is truly frustrating. I would hope that nobody has to deal with the same uninterested and useless energy we have received from mostly everyone involved. We have attempted to resolve this on many levels to avoid an online confrontation to no avail. We just hope our complaints and reservations are heard to hopefully persuade someone else to not make the same mistake.

Went to this branch today to conduct some business and was disappointed. Due to some confusion over Governor McMasters recent retraction of the mask mandates state wide, we were asked by Mitch if we had masks to wear. We were provided with some but before we could put them on, he was rude and reprimanded us like children. I understand there are differing opinions when it comes to masks. We complied with his request in this private business, but as a customer, I do not feel employees should handle these issues in this manner. We decided to leave that branch and take our business to the Dorchester rd. Location. Diana was kind about the same situation, and handled it in a completely different way which left everyone feeling respected. I will only be doing business with that branch from here on out!

This BB&T branch on North Main Street in Summerville is very convenient to access and makes the banking process very easy and simple when you need. The staff here is very accommodating and knowledgeable at what they do to accomplish all of your banking goals. They have been very consistent in their customer service throughout the years.

My wife and I setup a joint account back in mid-August. We ordered our debit cards and I received mine three weeks later. She didn't receive hers, we called and they informed us hers was issued, then sent back. So we ordered her card again and it still hasn't arrived. In addition, the customer service at this branch is a roller coaster of good and bad. Wouldn't recommend setting up an account with them.
