Truist Reviews

Matthew Forman1I have been trying soooo hard to not leave a negative review but then I thought, if no one leaves negative reviews the higher ups in BB&T(now Truist) won’t know why we continue to give low ratings. Someone I know recommended me to open a business banking account with BB&T. Boy has that proved to be a mistake. They are not set up to handle a business that has to make large purchases with their business debit cards; that’s if you call a penny over $6,000 a large purchase. I just tried to make a purchase for $6,111.25, it was declined and now I have to wait for the branch I bank with, Rockwall, to receive an email back so that they can approve the purchase. When I asked how long is that going to take, I was told, “we don’t know, we just have to wait to receive an email back before we can approve it.” They put a lot of restrictions on our accounts and make it very hard to access our money that’s sitting in our accounts. They say it’s for our safety. I get that, but I also am trying to run a business and they have made it very difficult to do so. We also have to remember to tell them EVERY TIME we go out of town if we want our debit cards to work. And I’m not talking very far out of town, it could only be a couple of hours away and if it’s when they are closed, you’re out of luck. Good news! While I was typing this novel, I received a call back saying I can now make my $6,111.25 purchase. 🤦♂️ The people at this branch all seem nice. I think it’s just the way they are forced to operate by the higher ups and all the restrictions that are in place. Anybody listening up there?

Laura Mcmurphy1I have been a customer for quite some time before I chose to leave BB&T for good reasons. One being, the staff are constantly short handed and replaced & the bank manager (Chapman) is incredibly rude who never answers phone calls or calls back. The other staff have been helpful but turnover is an issue. All in all, the manager needs to be replaced by someone who knows what they are doing & are helpful. I wish I could stay because there are friendly staff but the manager Mr. Chapman ruined my customer experience!!

Saint X Of All Time5Went in to the local BB&T here in Rockwall today to inquire about opening up an account. Jason Bird, the banker who assisted, was so incredibly kind, patient, informative and never once was overly persistent. In fact, he took extra time to explain things. All of the associates were very friendly, even offering bottled water to drink. The feel of this bank is so very different from all of the others in the area; it’s warm and inviting with that “small town” feel of having one’s own personal banker. I’ve been a customer of Wells Fargo since 1989 (30 years exactly) and not one person there still knows my name.... I’ve a feeling this is going to be a nice change.

Bobo k21The employees are not empowered to help customers. We recently had a situation where we needed some help (due to their mistake) while we were out of town and couldn't get any. The manager was on vacation and there evidently isn't anybody else in the entire company who could help us. While I am sure he has some talents, James should not be allowed to talk to customers. The final straw was being told by another employee they close in 2 minutes while I'm stuck out of town for 2 days and not able to access our funds. Customer service starts with caring about your customers. Just a little common sense and concern would have helped in our situation tremendously.

Aaron Kimball1My wife and I have been a customer for over 20 years and they've progressively got worse and worse... Closing our account... Avoid them at all costs... They will be unable to meet your financial needs... TRUIST has ruined their once good name...

Sunny Tyler5I love this bank!!! Everyone is so friendly and kind. Transactions go very fast and Marc is a really genuinely nice guy!!! I wouldn't change banks for a million bucks... Well maybe a million, but I would go right back to BB&T... LOL.. Thanks for being such a great bank!!!
