Tri-State Mortgage Company, LLC Reviews

Cheryl Frame5My experience with Emma, Sylvia and other staff members was stellar. Emma went above and beyond to ensure that my son's loan transaction was processed and completed in an expeditious manner even though there were many setbacks (none of which were their fault). I would encourage anyone who wants to deal with a company that knows how to address and overcome the vagaries of loan processing, rise to the challenge, and does not let anything stand in the way of helping you and/or your family achieve your dream; to place your goals and aspirations in their expert hands! You won't be disappointed!

Dino Astorga5First off, my wife and I would like to thank Cheryl Montenegro and her team for helping our dream of becoming homeowners a reality. From the time we first met her, right to the very end when she sat with us at the title company to close on our home, Cheryl was amazing and a pleasure to work with. Not only did she walk us through the entire process, but when times were rough (if you've gone through the process, you know what I'm talking about. Let's just say "underwriters"), she assisted tirelessly on every step along the way. Despite the fact that our crunch-time coincided with the holiday week when most other companies and agents were taking time off to spend time with their family and friends and take care of personal matters, Cheryl and her team worked long hours and with continuous effort until they got done what was necessary for us to finalize our home purchase. I without highly a doubt HIGHLY recommend Cheryl Montenegro and Tri-Star Mortgage to anyone who is looking to become a homeowner. They will work for you just as hard as if the home was actually for themselves. From beginning to end, they will treat you with honesty and respect, and exemplify professionalism that is rare in today's businesses world. Thank You Cheryl, and Thank You Tri State Mortgage !

Jason McVinney1We were originally told that to refinance our loan that TX wouldn't accept VA home loans, we had to use FHA loan. It turns out that when we went to USAA, we could refinance using the VA home loan in TX. This company wanted us to come back to them to refinance. Not only that, we needed repair work done and went through contractors they knew. These contractors did a shady job on our house and now we have to re-do all the repair work. Shady mortgage company with shady friends. Buyer be warned!

Wonder Woman 2 C1One star is to high a praise for this shady company. I was "preapproved" by Ingrid in no time. She was well aware that I was going through the city's first time home owner program. "No problem" she said. "We've done lots of these" She even told me to start looking for a home. I was so excited. This was March 28th. The search began. No further contact from Ingrid. I find a home and we go into contract the earnest money is given ($500) all set to close one June 20th. May 2nd I receive am email from Eleanor (Ellie) that she is the compliance officer and needs further documents. "Can I email those to you?" "Of coarse!" So I did. No further contact. A week goes by I call to get an update, she's not in. Call again, "I haven't had a chance to check my email, I will do that today and get back to you." A week later no response. I call the again. I get transferred to Cheryl who says that SHE will be handling my loan ams could I bring in the same paperwork that I emailed Eleanor. "Didn't she get my email? I ask? Kinda worried now. "I don't know I haven't had a chance to speak with her. Let's make an appointment for next week". Fine, appointment made. Finally the appointment day I'm getting ready to hear over to tristate and Cheryl calls me on my cell, "I've been trying to reach you! (No missed calls) I have people coming in from out of town we'll need to reschedule?" "Will this affect the closing" "not at all, were still good don't worry. Did you bring the $450 for the appraisal" Me:" I didn't know i had to." Brought it in the next day. She's the expert right. Finally all the paperwork gets done. "We'll need to extend the closing date" she says.. Umm, she said it would affect the closing. Never hear from Cheryl again. June 9th (Friday) I receive a voicemail from Sylvia, there's been a small glitch with the loan call her back. I call back but it's after hours and they're closed. I call back on Monday the 12th. The small glitch was that they were unable to give me the loan and would no longer be working with the city and this program. 8 DAYS FROM CLOSING!!! To say that the manner in which i was treated was unprofessional would be a gross understatement! Now I'm out $500 because the sellers didn't want to wait for second approval. And I'm out of a home. This company is shameful! BE VERY CAREFUL.
