If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Travis Credit Union is going to HELL in a handbag. This last weekend someone used an old debit card that i had believed to be de-activated to wipe out my bank account. Travis Credit Union refuses to release new funds early and is holding hostage almost $500 as if I did something wrong. That's a quarter of my monthly income. Been with Travis off and on for about twenty years. What a tragedy they have become.

I gave a better rating a few months ago, but commented on the wait times. Apparently, nothing has changed. I need to wait 49 minutes for a rep to dispute a transaction. Not a great way to spend my lunch time. The 'have a rep call you back' option doesn't really work, because I also have to work.

I have been a customer since the 1970s when the credit union was only one branch at Travis AFB. Over the years I have noticed the decline in service and their problematic programs and software. I have an account at the Navy federal a very strongly considering leaving Travis Credit Union for good. Competency is questionable.

Their corporate office sucks, I was on hold for over 45 mins and once it reached 5:30 it hung me up. I travel for work and can’t get to a branch before they close and trying to get corporates help is a nightmare.

Travis is by far the dumbest bank I’ve ever had to deal with, multiple screw ups from multiple individuals and not to mention a snarky rude customer service department. Blows my mind that a local credit union can make a big bank look good. Wells Fargo has given me much better assistants, loans, and customer service.

      Response from the owner

Hi Connor. We are sorry to hear you had such a terrible experience. We would like to try and make it right. If you will let us, please call our Member Service Center at 800.877.8328 and ask for Mark Jordan. Thank you for your membership!

I will be the first to admit I know little to nothing about banking so I don’t know if there is really nothing Travis can do or they just want to avoid a situation where others might take advantage. We have 2 auto loans with them and have recently had some unavoidable financial issues. We have no problem making the lower car payment and have never once been late but this one is just too high and we are a payment behind. They claim they cannot help us, they gave us a couple of skip pays but when your income goes down what a person really needs is a lower payment. It seems to me that it would benefit a small credit union to find a way to adjust the payment rather than repossess the vehicle when to do so is a lose lose for everyone, including them. Makes no sense. I wonder if I had financed through someone else if this would still be an issue. Upon looking at other reviews here and on Yelp I think I got my answer. The majority of reviews are terrible and worst of all Travis doesn’t seem to care.

Travis credit union are liars and deceitful, I have a car loan through them, lost my job fell behind, made payment arrangements with them then the day before the payment was due they repossessed the vehicle, added on $535 in fees, hoping I couldn't pay and would get to keep and resell the vehicle, I paid on time for 4 years straight before this happened and the vehicle is almost paid off, they will do everything possible to try and take the vehicle back after you have it almost paid off so they can profit even more, EVERYONE PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!! IT WILL COST YOU ALOT MORE IN THE LONG RUN THAN IT IS WORTH!!!!!

Usually accurate and attentive; horribly out of character in the auto loan department. My loan officer seemed too busy to actually talk to me. On the day he sent me the electronic document for my signature, which could have meant funding the loan the next day and buying my new car, he was slow to respond (3.5 hours) and we missed the 3:30pm cut off. So should have been funded and delivered to the dealership by day 3, but he missed something along the way and now day 4 was to be the day. Something else he did wrong moved it back another day, and then my checking account was charged for the payment due for the trade-in. That got fixed, but then FedEx couldn't deliver the cashiers check to the dealership by end of day Friday, so now I'm waiting until day 7 to finally buy my new car. This sucked all the excitement out of buying a new car. Now it's just a large financial transaction. But hey, he said "sorry!"
