      I have banked with Transcend since opening my first debit card. I have never had an issue or a bad experience. The wonderful staff at the Lexington location make it worth driving from college to deposit checks. I love that the staff know my name, know who my mom is and that I have a shih tzu, that they send treats to when we come in. They are fabulous people and the reason that I will stay with a small bank/credit union rather than a larger institution that has more locations.

      Julie and everyone at Transcend have been a blessing for my family. From helping with the purchase of a newer vehicle back in August of '18 and just recently with the purchase of a new home, I really appreciate the hard work and dedication they have given us.       I can’t say enough good things about Terri Berg and Transcend Credit Union. I was recently in the market for a car, after having been involved in an accident, and knew that obtaining a loan would be a challenge. Terri was the best possible person to help me navigate this challenge, and she did it with professionalism and kindness. Terri kept me informed every step of the way, and worked with me to present my application to the underwriter in the best possible light.       I've dealt with this bank for years for all of my banking needs including loans and up until recently, It's been a wonderful experience. Although it is stated that it is merely a name change, I have noticed some procedures have gone from consistent to very inconsistent. For example, if you have a paycheck direct deposited, you can receive it anywhere from the day before the actual check date up until the late afternoon of the actual check date. Previously, checks were deposited and withdrawals were cleared at the same time every day. This ensured that you were up-to-date with your balances if you were traveling and could not access the mobile app to see what items had cleared. Max 24/7 automated line does not provide a clear account of transactions as it also fails to reflect some of the "Ghost" transactions. Withdrawals for transactions are processed in zero consistent manner, meaning they could disappear and be re-added to your bank at any point, sometimes they clear in the AM, sometimes in the afternoon. It's really a headache. If you have a customer service inquiry, be sure you catch them between the hours of 9am-4pm, which is very convenient when some of the questionable transactions are cleared after the bank is closed. There was one occasion where a business partner who does not have access to my account, went into the Lexington office to make a deposit and they were provided a receipt which included my balance. This is information that should not have been provided. I reported this and on the positive side, Transcend's customer care group provided me with security options to prevent this type of access, but I feel this should not even be necessary. At the Dixie office, I was asked for my identification to make a deposit into my own account, and still was not provided a receipt listing the balance of my account. If you are not authorized on the account, you should not have access. Lastly, at the Outer Loop location, a former roommate went in to deposit a check, no questions, no ID, but he was offered to apply for a credit card using my credentials as they assumed the account was his. That makes me uncomfortable in the handling of my information. I feel that this bank is beginning to fall behind the industry in regards to the necessary details to provide good banking customer care. If you aren't a member, I'd highly recommend exploring your other options for your banking needs.

His response time has been almost immediate and he has helped me get established with Transcend piece by piece. I do not feel like a burden (with my many questions) and he has taken wonderful care of me! Thanks Nathan! You are awesome!

      If big if you can get someone to answer the phone or even get through to a number that is NOT a computer. In my experience they can be rude and unhelpful. That is 1 out of three times. The man was so rude they started at negative stars. The last two women I talked to brought them WAY up to two stars. I bought a new car through a dealer and got this bank. I can't call them a talk to anyone. I have been treated very rudely and those things in a business well if you don't want to do your job quit and let someone who wants to do a good job have a shot at it.
