Town and Country Bank Reviews

David Hyten5This little bank gives major league service. I can call up there and ask for people by name! They know my first name and last name... my wife and kids, too! That's like service from 50 years ago! President Kent Weber is there everyday. He has a great team of people that make me feel so comfortable. I really like the fancy building, too!

Ahmed Bshara1Poor and inconsistent customer service. Rules for how to process my checks change every single time I go there and depends heavily on the person you're dealing with. So much time and effort wasted every time I go. Whenever I go there and get Ms. Sarah Holland to take care of my needs it turns to be horrible time for me, so disappointing and frustrating when she's the one handling what I need to do. Every time I ask for her supervisor she tells me he's not there. I'm not sure if he's actually never there or that's her way of getting rid of costumers. But I guess it works since I won't be coming back to that bank and will close my accounts.
Response from the ownerHi Ahmed. We sincerely apologize for any experiences that have not been exemplary. One of our employees will be in contact with you to learn more about your situation.

Justin Jenkel5My wife and I had the opportunity to work with Gavin Petrea at Town and Country Bank for our first home mortgage. As many know, purchasing your first home can be overwhelming, but people like Gavin help create a smooth process. Not only did he provide us with a great interest rate, he worked around the clock to answer all the questions we had. If you are looking for an outstanding and knowledgeable mortgage lender, I highly recommend Gavin.
Response from the ownerHi Justin! Thank you for the positive review and high remarks for Gavin! We will be sure to relay your comments to him. Our mortgage lenders are dedicated to helping all individuals with their unique home buying needs.

Lisa Allen5I recently opened a home equity line and checking account. It was an easy transition. I was able to email my banker, which has been a challenge for me with my other bank, to ask questions. I get a live person when I call, and they address concerns promptly when I call. I am greeted with friendly welcomes from any staff member when entering the building. What more could you want?
Response from the ownerThank you, Lisa, for your kind words! We pride ourselves on providing our customers with an excellent experience and are grateful you choose to bank with us!

Sean McMeen5The entire team (Paul, Lara, Angela, & Brenton) at the Town and Country Bank in Edwardsville are awesome!! I moved my business banking to them several months ago and they have bent over backwards to help with the transition. Thank you so much for all of the help!! So happy I made the switch to them.

Natalee Barker1Town and Country is the worst bank that I have ever used. To start, they have deactivated me from my mobile banking numerous times for no reason. Then, I let them know on three separate occasions that I would be travelling to Europe for several months and I needed to enable international use for my card. I called the day before to double check. Needless to say, my card was not activated and I had to wait until 8am central time in order to call. When I called to complain and ensure that they would activate my card for international, they told me it wouldn't be active for another 48 hours. I was alone in a foreign country without access to my checking account. Continually, the phone service is terrible. I tried several times to check my account balance through the 24 hour automated system before giving up. Lastly, Town and Country compounded overdraft fees onto my account. I accidentally over drafted my account several months ago and received an overdraft fee. I was fine with paying the overdraft fee after I realized how careless I was with checking my balance. The next morning, I checked my mobile banking app and there were four overdraft fees. The overdraft fee kept signaling another overdraft fee before eventually maxing out. Town and Country is the worst bank. I would recommend burying your money under a tree before I would recommend this bank.

Becky Muir5I’ve banked with a “big box bank” for decades, but recently opened a couple of accounts with Town & Country after having the luxury of learning more about them without actively seeking a change. Now I can honestly say you simply can NOT understand the difference in the levels of service offered until you experience it. The old cliche, “you don’t know what you just don’t know” emphatically applies here. Make the switch. They’ll go the extra mile to ensure you don’t regret it. Thanks Brenton and the whole Town and Country team!
Response from the ownerHi Becky! Thank you for your positive feedback! We pride ourselves on providing our customers with an excellent experience and are grateful you have chosen to bank with us!

Laurin2I've never been treated more like an idiot or inconvenience than I was by the woman who answered my phone call this morning... I had a question about my account and when I was trying to get help the woman heaved a HUGE sigh like I was just the most annoying person on the planet, failed to help me in my situation, and as we ended the call hung up on me before I could even say "have a nice day." Karylle, who helped me initially set up my mortgage, is a sweet woman and went above and beyond to help me, so I'm hesitant to leave a bad review, but I've never been treated so poorly by someone working in such a professional business situation and I am just appalled.
Response from the ownerHi Laurin. We sincerely apologize for any service which has not been exemplary. We take our customer's feedback seriously and would like the opportunity to learn more about your experience. Please call our Solution Center at 1-866-770-3100 and ask to speak with David.
