Dont get your card locked on the weekend out of state. Better then zelle at least they don't use your debit security code as identity proof. Probably better then big banks on the fine print. But would have a backup bank, as they are an 10-2 type of bank and they work like a government organiyzation out for any party and they won't support you if you wire the wrong place or issues like that

I would not recommend Tower Federal at all. Their online banking is a complete disaster. Neither my husband or myself are able to access our accounts online. We are in the process of refinancing our mortgage and need a copy of our HELOC statement. It was been extremely difficult to get through Tower Federal and it is now holding up our closing process! The employees are always very nice when you call, but it's very frustrating process trying to resolve issues. We transferred our HELOC to a low-interest credit card with another bank just so we won't have to deal with TF any longer.

The staff of their real estate settlement division is the embodiment of that great combination, incompetence and rudeness.

This is the only banking service I've ever used long-term. It's been fine with me. The only issue I've ever had was lack of thorough notification if my account is locked for security reasons. Seeing as having my account locked is incredibly inconveniencing, they loose a star. But otherwise, everything is great. Online apps, customer service, timeliness at the physical location are all great. I don't normally leave Google reviews, but the rating here is way too low.

Unfortunately, I have an auto loan with Tower Federal Credit Union,. My experience has been horrible. Their business practices make you question if it’s legit especially when I’m unable to access my account online or even change my payment date. Each time I have called to change my payment date, I get the run around. They scheduled my payment date to come out at the end of the month. However my statements show a past due balance? I requested to change my payment date from the end of the month to the first of the month and they refuse to do it. They will tell me that my request has been sent to another department. This department was suppose to send me a form so I could request to change my payment date. Still waiting which makes me wonder if the FDIC needs to look into their questionable business practices. They set their interest rates low for auto loans to compete with reputable banks in order to get our business but don’t have a clue how to conduct business or treat their customers.

Been a member for many years. Don't agree with a lot of the complaints I am seeing. Have had a few mortgages, car loans, other loans and no problems. Only gripe is they don't offer business accounts, I had to go another credit union to do that. People I have dealt with have always been helpful, no real complaints about online or ATM systems either. I like the fact that on their newer ATMs I can choose the mixture of 10s and 20s when making a withdrawal.

Being with them for 20 years. VERY average but suffice my basic needs. Was not able to open a business account with them. They lost but Navy Federal won! They made few significant mistakes throughout but I cough it on time. No apology. Once I told them about it and their response was that I was rude. Never being rude I was frustrated and expressed my concern to them face to face. That they can't accept and bring me apology. Instead act in offensive manner that they are right and I'm wrong. Too many unprofessional staff from tellers to mid class management. Have too many things attached with them otherwise this bank will be a history.

Was able to get a good rate for car loan. Automatic withdrawals from my bank, no problems. Unfortunately, bad phone customer service when trying to get into online acct. You have to log in every month or you will be locked out.

Worthless institution. Sent me an email stating that my address was incorrect and that they would charge me $10 each quarter for having an incorrect address. Are you kidding me? Over the years, I have sent in change of address forms when I have moved. I tried to sign up for paperless statements but apparently it did not work. I called customer service, as I was locked out of my account online, but customer service refused to update my address online even though I gave them my date of birth and SSN. Refused to give me my member number either. I asked how I could get this information since I do not live local anymore. He said I can print out a form. I informed him that I had done that several times and no address change was ever made. Ended up just hanging up.

I have been a Tower member for so many years now. I love this bank and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The people that work here really care about you and want you to succeed and do everything they can to help you. I was recently stuck in an awful car situation, where the dealer told me that I was approved for a loan with them when I really wasn't. They just wanted to sell the car. I was stuck in the worst situation, but Tower made it work for me. If it wasn't for them I'm honestly not sure what would have happened. So thank you so much to Matthew at the Laurel location, who got in contact with both me and the dealership. Also to Ginny and Shanice at the Arundel location for doing every they could to help. I really appreciate you all so much. Thank you for really caring for your customers.
