Shari Benton1Went to get my son a new bank account and debit card. Horrible experience!! The lady messed up so much! We left and she didn’t even activate the account nor debit cards, had to call the 800 service number that night to turn them on. I asked her to change my last name on the joint account, because my own personally primary account was already changed, but she no I couldn’t nor let me. I asked her to update my email address, she said she did, but it wasn’t when I logged into the account. I asked her to transfer money from my son’s saveable account to his new account. She typed the numbers wrong and made it negative. So had to correct that and sign another form. She couldn’t count the cash for the deposit. My son is in calculus in HS, and thank God we had masks on, because we were both laughing she couldn’t count cash. I tried to make small talk with her, but she got so distracted, so it was a silent office room. Awkward. I asked several questions and she never directly answered my questions or went around it. I don’t think she knew the answers. I’ve been banking here since the 90s (for about 30 years), and I’m about to move all of our baking to another bank. It was an awful experience. My new husband wants to bank here, but after this experience, I don’t think he will. I’m not sure if she was new or what, but if I was her boss I would want to know and maybe move her to a different position.

David Irons4I switched here about 5 or so years ago now. Overall it’s ok. Being a credit union, they do tend to charge fewer fees than banks. Usually when I visit, they are helpful. But, I have had issues with how long their policies are for holding deposits. Have had to gripe to get them to allow low dollar deposits to process. Not near as many locations or ATMs as banks. They do have a network With other credit unions that don’t charge. But even the ones on the list have charged me in the past. The On Cue gas stations are free. Around OKC, that’s been helpful when I need cash. Also, I do have my car loans through TFCU. And payments can be made directly from my bank account, which is very convenient.

lorelei potter2Great place in general. But don’t bother calling. The automated system is horrible and the wait is ridiculous. No one wants to hear you thank sponsors and give advice with an automated woman for 30 minutes of waiting. It’s unbearable, just play music like everyone else.

Jaron T.3Service has always been pretty decent, but account verification online is dysfunctional. My TFCU bank username and password can't be verified in any apps, like plaid, venmo, etc. I have to wait a few days to wait for my cards to be verified the long way. I called TFCU to see if there was anything they cod do and they said no. The man who answered the phone was very friendly, but had no solution. I have to go through the same process with my Chase accounts, but those are easily verified in under 2 minutes via the same process that does not work for TFCU accounts. Because I cannot transfer my money from TFCU to chase, I missed out on some investment opportunities today. Those opportunities will not be there tomorrow unfortunately. Oh well.

Eric Brin1Slowest drive thru I have ever sat in in my life, their are four bays and cars backed up not moving, hire some more drive thru staff TFCU!!

Ray Dawn1The worst! If you get a car loan through them do NOT use their gap insurance. I’d recommend using another trusted gap insurance company. I paid for their gap insurance and had a total loss and their gap insurance didn’t even pay my cars full balance, leaving me to pay the rest. Also they never contacted me before they made my settlement without my approval on the amount they were willing to pay. Lastly they use a 3rd party company that does not speak with members directly so your only point of contact is through tinker agents. Try another credit union first! This has been hell dealing with them with this total loss and it’s been going on 2 months.

Gordon Thomas1I loathe taking my time to call on the phone to get information and then having to hit 15 different prompts and still being on hold and listening to the droning of company commercials about how personal their service is. Not! This is just a continuing example that personal service is non-existent.

David Valdez1Been in multiple times, never have cash when I have a check over a few grand. Over heard manager talking in the back complaining about how many checks I'm going to cash. Seriously what kind of bank does that. Most would be happy to have more business.
