OECH at the Lakewood Branch has the nicest service with Gabrielle as the desk attendant. She helped me step by step to send checks to N . Carolina for my daughter. She was friendly and professional. Also very knowledgeable about services I needed. Thank you Gabrielle!!

I've always used big banks in the past and this is my first experience with a credit union. They are AWESOME. Everyone I've interacted with has been so sweet, they provide all the services I used to use at my old banks (for some reason I thought they wouldn't have things like mobile deposit but they do!). I feel like my money is safe with them and they aren't trying to rip me off. So far I've gotten a car loan, checking and savings, and a credit card with them. No regrets. Going to stick with them for life! I urge everyone I know to switch over and leave big banks for credit unions.

I believe the ladies at the Lakewood office need a little back up when it comes to the previous reviews. First of all, they do not practice any bait and switch techniques, nor do I believe that they would ever try to increase an interest rate without letting the customer know. I know for a fact that when they are taking the application, no interest rate is guaranteed and must first be decided and approved by their loan department. To try and convince people that any one there would purposely lie about an interest rate is laughable. Clearly, Luke doesn't know what he is talking about. I have a hard time believing that anyone at the credit union would do anything "criminal"...those are pretty harsh accusations. Secondly, the rude representative that the dealer spoke with, Amanda, is no longer at their branch. I have been in the branch twice in March and noticed she was not there. They have a new girl at her desk now, so it appears whatever issue there was with her has since been corrected. Extremely friendly staff, who appear to enjoy their job and actually care about what is in the best interest of their members.

I am a dealer contacting them to obtain a pay off for a client of mine. Amanda was EXTREMLEY rude and had nothing but an attitude. I have all the information on my end to get the necessary information and she is was no help. I left many unreturned voicemails and sent faxes of the information I need, none of which were returned. She said, "Oh, you don't you have the phone number I gave to you from yesterday?" in a snobby, bitchy tone. Listen Amanda, unless you humble yourself, you're not going to go far in life because people will talk. No one here at the dealership likes your credit union because of the customer service and my customer thinks you're a pain in the ass to deal with. He told me, our customer service was the best he's ever had from any establishment he's been to. Period. Hopefully, this review is a lesson for you and you should eat some humble pie.

If you are a current member, review your statement carefully. If you are looking to open a checking account, look elsewhere. I opened a 'free' checking account here 5 years ago. Recently after reviewing my statement came across MISCELLANEOUS DEBIT withdraws. The branch explanation was, the previous free checking account is now $3.95 per month. There is also a $3 fee to use the debit card. Every time. Not sure who would sign up for a debit card knowing that if you use it, you get charged $3. Then on the statement they hide it with 'Misc Debit'. If these were marked, Checking Account Fee & Debit Card Usage Fee, it would have been clear that I needed to end this account much earlier. They conveniently stole a few hundred dollars from me over the years. Shame on me for not reviewing my statements in detail more often, shame on them for deceitful practices. 2 Stars because the branch employees are friendly.

I see why the reviews are so LOW for this branch i have to say that it was a AWFUL experience and a VERY DISRESPECTFUL and RUDE teller I was paying a auto loan off. I called to make sure I got all the information before I went to pay off the loan so I knew everything in advance the teller rather argued with me then to help me I will NEVER do business with this location again and will make sure to let others know about my experience

      Response from the owner

Hello, The OHecu branch employee communicated the transaction requirements in a professional manner that were consistent with the required procedures. The transaction requirements were provided in advance via the phone call to the Membership Service Center. Please call us at 216-621-6296 if you would like to discuss this further. Thank you!

I started banking here a year ago after a bad experience at Bank of America, the staff is friendly and the service is much better than any of the large banks.

Absolutely the worst possible place to bank. Employees are rude and useless. Do yourself a favor choose a different bank!
