      Galen Burke is awesome. He was 100% professional in helping me navigate through the PPP loan process. Most banks ( Chase ) will not help you. They will send you to a third party website, and then tell you that they are not responsible for anything that happens from that point. But Galen !!!! is a pro. I spoke to him on several occasions on the phone and he was always a professional. Being Black in America is real. Most of the time when they here that black voice , they start calling you man/ bro / dude , but not Galen , he stayed professional with me the entire time. Galen always addressed me as Mr. King, or, Sir, only. This is how you take care of business. I give Galen a rating of 10 stars . May God continue to bless you and your family Galen.       We have applied several times for small personal loans to help build credit and to consolidate bills. We have never received help with this credit union. They will however send text and try to call when they notice our account balance staying at a I guess a more desirable level for us to pick up car insurance or life insurance. This credit union has never been helpful for our family to build anything. There is no loyalty for long term stable customers! Time to move my money elsewhere after over 17 years! I am seeking an institution that values us!

While credit unions do have slightly more flexibility than banks when it comes to lending, there are still requirements & controls. I am not familiar with your personal situation or application but I would encourage you to speak with your lender & find out exactly why we were not able to approve your application. This information will help you, regardless of your financial institution. We do value you, and all of our members.       Rey and his team members always do a excellent job on every transaction we have. It does not matter if its re-financing Home Loan or doing a new car loan or even personal loans the same great customer service is always readily available! They are professionals and the epitome of what we all should see in our Banking needs! Great job and keep up the great work!

      I have money in 3 accounts at this credit union for emergencies, so I only use it if an emergency comes up. Well, this credit union decided to deactivate my debit card because I haven’t used it in a few months. What kind of facility turns off a debit card attached to an account with a POSITIVE balance? Whoever thought of that policy should be fired. It’s a truly absurd policy. I don’t recommend them if you travel frequently or if you just want to park some money there for a while. I was out of the country last year and they blocked my card without letting me know, so I had to call back to the States to find out why. I moved my money from USAA to Texell, but might have to move it back.

      Hi Diandra, Thank you for your feedback about deactivating debit cards. We do deactivate cards after a period of inactivity to help prevent fraud, but you bring up a good point.       The drive thru has been very slow. I have frequented the drive thru recently, and even when there are few cars it always takes a long time. It took almost 30 mins to do a simple transaction. There was one car in front of me when I got there. Way too slow. Also, I was called today unsolicitedly, and told that I asked for info about their credit card. I never asked for that, and when I was solicited the last time in the drive thru, I said no thank you. I’m not interested. Either the tellers are very pressed to make sales that they pass unwanted and unasked for leads along, or they simply are very desperate to make sales goals that the outbound callers make up reasons to call. Other than slow waits and unwanted sales calls, they are the best credit union in town. I wish they valued our time as much as they do sales.

      Went in today to deposit $400 into my savings account- with 4, $100 bills. Teller was making small talk with me about weather, and I didn’t think anything of it. Glad I checked my receipt before I left- noticed she had only added $100 to my account. I’m guessing she was going to pocket my other $300 in cash. I quickly stopped in my tracks and returned to her asking if she could explain the balance. She said, ‘Oh I only added 100’ and I said ‘yeah and I gave you 400‘. She quickly adjusted and gave me a receipt showing the correct balance. She did apologize, but it seemed she was more upset she wasn’t able to pocket my $$. Idk who y’all are hiring, and I realize people make mistakes but there is no room for mistakes when it comes to handling people’s money!! Check your receipts from Texell is all I can say! 😡

      Zero stars! A friend of mine recommended this bank for an auto refinance. So I gave it a try. This was the worst mistake ever! Painful long process for an auto loan, it doesn't matter if you send all the documents, underwriting obviously doesn't know what they are doing. This was more tedious than a home mortgage loan! So ridiculous. Do not start an auto loan refinance application here! You will regret it.

      Worst credit union ever! **Update** I emailed the President, and his office got back with my husband and I very quickly. Everything has been resolved. I increased my rating to 3 stars because of the phone call we got on Monday. I can't go any higher on my rating because of everything we have been through with this place. I am so glad we changed banks, plus we moved so we have a bank closer to us. They are aware of how things were handled, and they know things need to change with customer service.

      Worst bank to ever bank with in my life!!! Cancelled an account with Planet Fitness, yet they were still allowed to charge my account, bank would not allow me to dispute. Charge me with several fees and when I went to pay the fees, the teller would not accept my money, actually gave it back. Oh, and because the teller gave me my money back recieved a call saying once I pay off my car loan, they will still own the title (162.00), above over approx. $16,000 car loan. Also, this car loan through them which I didnt actually want but accepted from the dealership, did not find out it was Texell till processing the agreement. My insurance is always paid on the 1st because I am a veteran, and is due on the 28th of every month. Won't ever be cancelled until the 9th of the following month if not paid. Texell still has note notated and never updates or checked notes, threatening to add almost an extra $3000.00 to my car loan. Never in my life with the multiple banks I have, have to deal with such terrible customer service, every employee says something different every time, no actually explanation, and they charge you, the customer/account holder for everything no matter what. Was even told when I took a trip out of town and wasn't coming back into the following month, that I had to come in the bank to make my car note, there was no online way to pay or over the phone. Came back early just to handle this and came in to pay just to recieve an email saying I can actually pay online. But keep insisting I get car insurance with them also!! This is the worst none up.to date, uninformed employee establishment I have ever dealt with. Horrible experience!!! Regret using them!!
