Telco Plus Credit Union Reviews

Olivia Collins1I Tried to open a personal and business account today. I was informed the CEO was on vacation and I would have to wait 10 days for review to open new accounts. Left this location and went right down the street to Altra Federal Credit Union and was able to open a business checking, personal checking and savings account. The staff here at the Tyler location were not friendly and acted as if I did not have credentials to even open a business account!

Bridgette Moya5Telco Plus Credit Union has given me an opportunity to improve my credit. After a bad financial relationship plight caused a substantial divot , then my car on the outs....I didn’t know what to do to improve my particular circumstance. Thankful I have steady income, the good people at Telco Plus saw potential and encouraged me to begin rebuilding and get the courage to improve my credit. I wouldn’t have begun the recovery needed to thrive without the help from Telco Plus Credit Union. A friend of mine referred me by saying how the people at Telco helped him set goals to balance and get his finances/credit going in the right direction. I needed some of that kind of faith too. Go talk with them after reading this review. $5 to open a Savings Account and begin to open new opportunities. Loans, Checking, Savings....Telco Plus Credit Union is here to help. That’s what they do. They helped me, they will help you🌻

shay simmons2I enjoy Telco and the benefits, however, they could use a staff with better customer service. It is very very rare to receive a greeting at the teller.. I work retail and a greeting means a lot. I have been with the credit union for a few years so it should feel like coming home with a welcoming hello. Two seconds to say hello is harmless. (Recent visit Ata assisted me)

Shane Plaisance5We have worked with Telco for many years, they are always there when we need them, Customer Service is a lost art these days, and it’s hard to find a financial institution that feels like home that you can trust, however with the team at Telco you find just that, feels like home and they work to build your trust, on our last business transaction Kat exemplified it all she was amazing, communicated well and it’s evident that she lovers her job, she was engaged with energy as well as over he top care and concern from beginning to end, Thanks to the entire team and Specifically Kat, we appreciate y’all very much, keep it up!!!

James Kidd5My father had a stroke - he could not speak - I went in to the office and they helped me fix all of his accounts. These are the friendliest bankers in Tyler. I can not say enough nice about the team in Tyler on South Broadway.

Shelby Baker5Friendly staff, decent hours, and fast dedicated service. I do not have an account with them, but I do use their services through a shared-banking agreement with my credit union. If I was looking for a bank, I would definitely consider Telco Plus!
Response from the ownerThank you so much for the 5 stars.

Priesthood Community fellowship.2Just wanted to give a review about telco plus I’ve been apart of this bank for a year or so and I also have direct deposit there as well I use this account for my kids and any bills that need to be covered I normally have a total of 3200 directly deposited into this account and when need be I have money deposited by hand from another retirement account when extra is needed I have never passed a bad check here or done anything criminal dealing with this bank not to mention I’m not interested in doing something that will get me arrested neither. Well since this month came in and due to one of my family members needing extra this month do to checks being held up I pulled 1100$ from my retirement account and deposited it the lady set it up to be pulled out on the 27th at midnight n I deposited it on the 14th well when I went in to check on the funds due to my kids mom needing to get food for them and she could not get it I called and asked why would it be so long to release an office rep told me since I didn’t carry a lot of money with them they had to make sure it was not a bad check regardless of the fact they get my check before I do and 2 who wants to go to jail I felt like she was calling me a criminal just because I didn’t have a lot of money like every one else may have sitting,I know they don’t do everyone as they done me and I know they could have released 100 of it until later at least they could have gotten something to eat I feel less of a man because I could not get $$ sooner because that’s my only bank I deal with besides retirement account and I was thinking of having my retirement account transferred over to this bank but I realize I probably should look more into finding a bank that would respect me more as a customer rather than treating me like a criminal and talking to me with and attitude and a I don’t care attitude”, I even explain the reason I had to add more to the account but of course she didn’t care. I say to anyone looking to open a account with this bank you may need to think about looking elsewhere because you may run into a day u really need your money and they hold it for 8-10 days and that’s not including weekends to them they showed me in a time like this they will not try to do anything to help me even when they have control of my funds and can get to it before I can I know a lot of businesses may feel that black men are all criminals and thugs but I’m here to say that is not true if I was that kind of guy I would have been locked up along time ago for pulling acts like that but no I’m just a man that try’s to take care of his family and try to budget things each month so that I’m able to save money for times like this I realize no matter how u try to keep a good name or do things right as long as I’m in this skin some one is going to look at me as a criminal I just want to tell u all black and others think twice before opening n account here I have had to try to find ways for us to eat n it’s been hard n no we can’t get help I’ve tried n really I should not have to when I have money in my account. One thing I didn’t add the bank is not all bad It can be a good bank if you carry a lot of money at all times you will probably have a way better experience so on that note if ur able to maintain a large amount you or good.
